That is my point though. We have become to much business that we have forgotten about the supporters and the players. Bring back a bit of sentiment. Imagine how good training days would be for members if there was 5 ex players there watching their boys run around. Surely we have one rookie spot every few years for the family tradition

Just because they are sons of doesn’t mean they are up to AFL football.

If the players deserve it then rookie listing isn't a bad option. Spots on the playing list are tight but yes you could keep one of the rookie spots open for the right player

Overall a pretty good clean out.
if Roarke gets to 20 games we are in trouble.

Pathetic journalism isn’t it! Could probably cover the whole article w a tweet.
Good news too.
Re: The Moving/Rolling Trading & Delisting Thread 2018
We seem to be a bit more ruthless this year in culling our list, particularly fringe players. Hope to see our list replenished with some of our needs such as a some outside speed in the midfield.
The biggest concern for mine is our ruck stocks. We are limited to English, Boyd and Trengove as our main ruck options - for mine this is light but if we strengthen other areas around the ground maybe this is not as critical an area and we can rotate these three throughout the course of the season.
Probably going against the trend of this forum but I like Boyd as ruck option and at this stage of his development believe he should rotate between the forward line and the ruck. I don't believe he should be our first ruck option but would like to see him play around 30% of his game time as the ruck.
