I think BT that Carlton are giving their second rounder to Adelaide too. Not 100% sure but 97.5%.

Round 11:
1st Rounder - Pick 5 - WBD
2nd Rounder - Pick 23 - WBD
3rd Rounder - Pick 41 - WBD (from)
3rd Rounder - Pick 43 - StK (from)
3rd Rounder - Pick 44 - Haw (from)
5th Rounder - Pick 77 - WBD
= Picks 5, 23, 41, 43, 44, 77 (& Duryea for pick 59)
Liveladders End of Season Prediction: 5, 23, 41, (59 Duryea) & 77 - with 45 (Haw) & 44 (StK)
(Marcus Adams: Pick 32 2018, & currently Pick 45 2019 - equal to 900+ draft points (in play both years) or equivalent to Pick 20 for Adams)
(Other interesting trade: Carlton currently swapping pick 1 for pick 11 with Adelaide)
(Other interesting note: The proposed Wingard trade was for the 2019 1st - currently pick 5)
Editors note: packaging up the two bonus third rounders out of last year via the Hawks & Saints is roughly 740 draft points, or around pick 26 (resulting in maybe pick 29-30+ range). It might be nice if we could find a suitor for a draft points trade to get into the middle of the second round to use or trade with. So leaving picks 5, 23, 30-ish, 41 & 77 (plus rookie upgrades and/or free agents) and about $1.6M in cap.
If we were to land a top 5 pick we will be in a great position to keep building through our youth
I mentioned on another thread I hope we are showing some interest in Hayden Young. There is plenty to play out yes but he's been a quality junior for a couple of seasons

Editors note: packaging up the bonus third round picks out of last year via the Hawks & Saints is roughly 807 draft points, or around pick 24 (resulting in maybe pick 28-30 range). It might be nice if we could find a suitor for a draft points trade (Port Adelaide at pick 29 or 30 may be a suitor with their father/sons) to get into the middle of the second round to use or trade with. So leaving picks 6, 24, 29/30, 40 & 78 (plus rookie upgrades and/or free agents) and about $1.6M in cap.
Round 16:
1st Rounder - Pick 7 - WBD

Liveladders End of Season Prediction: 6, 24, 40 (StK), 41 (Haw), 42 & 78 (60 Duryea)
(Marcus Adams: Pick 32 2018, & currently Pick 42 2019 - equal to 1,000+ draft points (in play both years) or equivalent to a first round Pick 17 for Adams)
(Other interesting trade: Carlton currently swapping pick 2 for pick 11 with Adelaide)
(Other interesting note: The proposed Wingard trade was for the 2019 1st - currently pick 7)
Editors note: packaging up the bonus third round picks out of last year via the Hawks & Saints is roughly 824 draft points, or around pick 23 (resulting in maybe pick 28-30 range).
Sam Power got Lloyd for pick 64 (club leading goal kicker etc). Will get Duryea 60+. Demanded Hawks third rounder for an Adam's deal, which looks delightful right now at pick 42 (draft points = Pick 17 for a guy who predictably lost most of the year to injury). Live traded well to secure West and secure St Kilda's third rounder, which is delightful too at pick 40. Used the rule change to pass and come back for a free hit at Hayes and take Khamis as a rookie.
I thought he was excellent last year, but these future picks are even better than hoped for. So even more credit for him. Then he quickly (between trade periods) signs up Bonts, Hunter, Naughton, English, Dunkley, Daniel, Libba etc.
With all these picks and all this salary cap, I have high expectations later this year based on his exposed high competence.
Round 17:
1st Rounder - Pick 9 - WBD
2nd Rounder - Pick 27 - WBD
3rd Rounder - Pick 40 - StK (from)
3rd Rounder - Pick 44 - Haw (from)
3rd Rounder - Pick 45 - WBD
5th Rounder - Pick 79 - WBD
= 9, 27, 40, 44, 45, 79 (& Duryea for pick 63) (same as Liveladders End of Season Prediction)
(Marcus Adams: Pick 32 2018, & currently Pick 44 2019 - equal to just under 1,000 draft points (in play both years) or equivalent to a first round Pick 18 for Adams)
(Other interesting trade: Carlton currently swapping pick 2 for pick 12 with Adelaide)
(Other interesting note: The proposed Wingard trade was for the 2019 1st - currently pick 9)
Editors note: packaging two of the third round picks (40 & 44) is roughly 824 draft points, or around pick 23 (resulting in maybe pick 28-30 range). It might be nice if we could find a suitor for a draft points trade (Port Adelaide at pick 28 may be a suitor with their father/sons) to get into the middle of the second round to use or trade with (Port net an extra 147 draft points). So leaving picks 9, 27, 28, 45 & 79 (plus rookie upgrades and/or free agents) and about $1.6M++ in cap.
Ok so it’s only taken me 17 weeks or so to figure this out but on face value we have a fairly strong hand at the draft table?
