I like that idea. He is becoming good as a small forward but keen to see him given midfield time. He is a good tackler and has good hands. One thing I haven?t been able to gauge is if he has much pace or even acceleration off the mark.

Tim should still get the better of him, but wouldn't surprise me if Moyle takes the bulk of the ruck duties.
No excuses for English this weekend. He should be in the top three players on the ground and lead us to our first win of the season.

Agreed re picking speedier players that make bad decisions, fumble, ruin momentum and as a result sap morale.
Bevo for all his talk of evolution and evolving, has not.
I don't doubt his effort or commitment, he just can't see it, its a blind spot, tiny mirrors on a giant 4WD towing a ginormous caravan.
He's trying very hard but he hasn't broken his own deeply ingrained mould. His 'most successful Bulldogs coach, drought breaking flag, 2nd gf appearance' record is getting in his way. His method was new in 2015 but his belief in himself and his players ain't enough.
Its hard for the team to apply new ways of playing when the coach is still on autopilot. The cringey 'crazy is doing the same thing and expecting different results' yeah mate thats you!
Regardless of his endless evangelism, he's Einstellung-ing.

When faced with a new problem, instead of considering fresh approaches, your mind tends to default to the familiar, potentially hindering your ability to find more effective solutions. Essentially, past experiences or preconceived notions impact your current problem-solving, sometimes preventing you from discovering better strategies or ideas."

Someone said something mean to him, bit off his game. Let's start counting from next week.

I'd even rotate Weightman for 1-2 CBAs during the game.
Take the load off our 'guns so they have an extra 5-10% rest. Imagine a fresher Bont & Libba when the game is on the line.
Re: Always Right Match Committee Round 2 vs Gold Coast Suns
The chances of English dominating are 0% he?s never dominated anything ever in his life. It?s actually exactly the type of opponent that the opposite happens and he gets out bodied.
this is his contract defining game, after last week he?s worth 750k at best.

Very harsh for an AA ruckman

I get what you are saying but I don't think awards are that defining in measuring the value of a player. Bont missing a rising star or a Brownlow or two won't define or diminish his value as a footballer in my eyes.

Couldn't dominate a ham sandwich
To be fair, as a critic of his, he has certainly dominated spudish rucks in his time. I think that's undeniable

He's dominated everyone who isn't stronger than he is, and also found his way to having the third highest taps to advantage in an All Australian season.
The Tim bashing is getting out of control.

It's true. Let's get back to jeemak "the consultant" bashing.
