Player in question was certanly brutal. Not Kennedy or Wallis.
Steve Kretiuk? Although Kritter began life as a fancy pants midfielder before he joined the mens' department so he would have snagged a few goals early on I reckon.
Nope, the game he kicked 3 goals in was a VERY important game.
Daniel (NOT Danny) Southern?
Robbins? He use to play in the backline, but was finally switched to a forward pocket
Not Southern or Robbins. Player in question was club legend from earlier era.
Of the 16 all time highest individual goalkickers in a season for the Dogs, 11 of them have been done by either KT or the Pieman. Name the other 5, how many they kicked in the season in question and which year they did it.
That is an amazing stat. From what I've read Charlie had a dicky knee toward the end of his career-he really was touch and go for the Grand Final and missed the second semi a fortnight before with the injury. Wally Donald and Herb Henderson were doing the job down back and they needed Dave Bryden in the other pocket to mind Cordner when he went forward so they threw Charlie forward when they bought him back into the side. He could make sure that they didn't rough Collins up too much as well, the theory being that no-one was going to get too silly if Charlie Sutton was only an arms swinging distance away!
I think Jack Collins kicked 83 in 1954 and another 80 odd in 1956.
Chris Grant kicked 64 goals in 1994 and Danny Del Rey kicked 70+ in 1992.
I am thinking Alan Rait or Bill Woods from back in the 1930s and 40s had stand out seasons where they kicked multiple goals.
Jack Collins (twice - 1954 and 1957) and Bill Wood (1947) should be on the list but aren't from my crappy source :o. Can we just park them for the time being?
Both correct players and years but incorrect total for Granty. The snozz kicked exactly 70 goals in 1992.
Right player and year, wrong total
Certainly. Reckon George Bayliss kicked 64 goals one year in the 1920s too
OK. Am I close-within 3 goals say?-of Grant's total?Quote:

Was it 82 goals? The same as Simon Beasley's first year total.Quote:
