Adam Cooney ordered to stay at home
Sam Edmund - Herald Sun - 11 August
ADAM Cooney is in serious doubt for Saturday night's clash with Geelong as a highly contagious virus sweeps through Whitten Oval.
Cooney, Robert Murphy, Lindsay Gilbee, Dale Morris and Brodie Moles all missed training this morning, ordered to stay home at the Dogs battle to keep the majority of its playing list healthy.
Coach Rodney Eade is among several club staff to have been struck down with the illness, which he said was being treated with antibiotics.

Re: Adam Cooney ordered to stay at home
I know what the Club is going through. 16 years ago I got Pleurisy, ever since, when I get the slightest sniffle of a cold, I end up with a severe case of bronchitis. I am Stuffed for at least 2 weeks.
I couldn't wish a Bronchial infection on anyone, and being Viral why in the hell did the coaching staff let Murph into their box last weekend???????
Silly mistake.
He should have been sent straight home.
Worst place to catch any viral infection, apart from a hospital, would have to be a plane.
Therefore the whole group had come into contact on the trip over.
