Just off the top of my head but are May, Lever, Weitering and Andrews in that in that discussion?
I'm not sure there is a better player for us but there might be.

I think number one FB is Darcy Moore.

I'm still quietly hoping we can offload JJ's 600k a year salary and challenge it towards us going after Moore in the promise of flags vs his 3-4+ rebuilding side, long shot, but let me dream.
Keith and Moore down back would be an insane duo

JJ's hefty contract won't exist at the end of the season. He will either re-sign for less or leave.

Soaked up with a raft of re-signings this year. Bailey Smith, Dunkley, English, Daniel, Dale...
Re: Rating our list 2021: Alex Keath 42
I've gone with above average because I think he's still a season of outstanding performances away from being considered elite. One might be a fluke, two isn't a fluke, three is rolled gold standard.
If he continues on this trajectory he's going to find a spot in the AA team most likely because we'll be well and truly in the spotlight and people will realise how amazing he is in his defending, defencive positioning and marking.
Like others have said, an inspired acquisition and hopefully one that has another four seasons in him.

The way he adapted from being a zone and intercept defender at the Crows to someone who is very good 1v1 is what surprised me the most. His kicking skills are also impressive and help us get the ball moving. When he arrived I thought he would be serviceable for us but in reality he's been so much more.
You're right, if his 3rd season with us is again impressive he enters the elite category conversation.
Not bad for an athlete who toiled away as a cricketer for a long time with very limited success.
Perhaps we should reach out to Will Sutherland :)

Apologies I should have clarified my position by stating lock down key defenders. Weitering and May are in front of him IMO but I think based on last season he has passed Andrews. Keath has had a ridiculously low number of goals scored on him.

Keathy is better than above average but not elite, he's a borderline case.
