Williams struggled to get a contract last year and didn't have one until the last minute. He was determined to show that the club was wrong. Bruce has a secure deal for 3 more years and the MC hasn't held him to be accountable for his poor form this year.
Have we really incentivised him for 2021? Lets hope it is just a covid-19 distraction but he should have been better than that
Agree G
Should have been dropped weeks ago

One would hope of playing in a GF would be incentive at this stage of his career. This season has been a bit of a upheaval and hopefully come pre season things will be a bit more normal. If JUH comes in like the King brothers Bruce just may find himself playing for Footscray if the effort is not there.

Professional pride.

I don't think it's a question of effort on match day he's just in awful form. I'm not sure it that's because he's not fit enough or carrying an injury but if he is selected neither of those excuses wash.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out

We always knew he had Ability, but did he have the drive to succeed? I think this year he has become a mainstay of our team, and it proves that if you are willing to do the work and go that extra mile, the rewards will come. Kudos to Williams, and I hope this is only the beginning of an illustrious career in the red, white and blue.
