Collingwood and Western Bulldogs to meet in Round 1 of 2020 AFL season
Two of the best midfields in the competition will go head to head on the opening Friday night of the AFL season as more details about the 2020 fixture come to light.
Collingwood will launch its 2020 season against the revamped Western Bulldogs in a Round 1 blockbuster.
The clash will pit two of the best midfields in the competition against each other in a Friday night clash at Marvel Stadium.
The contest should draw a near-capacity crowd under the roof, helping crate an electric atmosphere and bumper TV audience for the second game of the AFL season.
The Dogs bolstered their side in the trade period adding key position players Josh Bruce and Alex Keath.
But it will be the contest in the middle of the ground that will see some of the league’s superstar ballwinners go head to head, including Marcus Bontempelli and Scott Pendlebury.
