1. Bombers stink up for first half of season
2. Win junktime matches in back half of season
3. Declared the winner of trade week
4. Everybody flying on the track
5. Hot favourites to make finals
Repeat steps 1-5

Was thinking this exact same thing, or a variant of it anyway.
Do just enough not to enact meaningful change.

You touched on it, but:
Preseason: Dodoro is a genius.
Midseason: When do we start looking at replacing Dodoro?
Late season: Dodoro? Get me Anton Chigurh's number.

Re: AFL Game Day R18 2022
Collingwood are on a hot streak of eight straight wins, including by the following margins: five points against Adelaide, seven points against North, five points against the Suns, four points against Hawthorn, four points against Carlton. Lucky or not?

Yep, very lucky. On a different time line they lose all of them and are bottom 4 material. Will be mince meat in the finals.

Yep, well done to them considering where they looked like they were heading post Buckley but these are the types of swings where they overachieve one year and finish bottom 5 the next when results don't go their way.
They do have some good young kids though.

Nick Daicos will probably be AA next year. Ridiculous he wasn’t bid on at 1 last year, clearly the best player in the pool and Collingwood were never not matching a bid.

Found it very strange he was allowed to slide like that. Especially when Darcy was injured. Guess he is a tall though and you don't want to be the recruiter who passed Franklin for Tambling.
