Re: AFL Game Day R13 2021

Geelong look strong across all lines- they have certainly brought in mature talent (Smith, Higgins, Cameron) with an aim to win "now".

With Hawkins, Selwood and Dangerfield still playing they are...

A guy having the yips might look to give the shot off or play the percentages with a kick tot he top of the square. Bontempelli said "screw that" and...

Port by a significant margin for me.

Away win against a quality side who should be pushing for top 4.

    Re: All Australian side

The top sides play a ruck/forward and looking at the league there has to be one in there as it's the hardest role to fill on an AFL list.

There are certainly a lot of good kids coming through in...

    Bailey Smith - medical sub.
Ego check, he'll come back hungry. Bevo did it to Macrae early in his coaching career.

How mobile is he? His centre bounce jumps seem pretty low for a full time ruck.
Needs to drop a few kgs?
  15. Re: Three things you've learned. Round twelve 2021 v Fremantle

    1. We need a plan to deal with the Libba tag. Libba got off the chain a little in the third because Cerra went to Bont who was killing them.

    2. A lot of our season now rests on Sweet's shoulders....

Grundy, de Goey, Pendles, Adams, Moore and $500k pa for Mayne.

Who the hell else are they paying? Jamie Elliott probably on good coin after Collingwood out-bid Melbourne's FA attempt. Daicos Jnr?

I think they try to keep him, then lose him as a FA next year.

  35. Re: Will Mitch Wallis succumb to our 'leading goalkicker' curse?

There's merit in this. Stef Martin seems to have done wonders for Sweet's development (and English) making him our 'ruck leader', but making that title official would be ridiculous.

  37. Re: Nic Nat and JUH - If West Coast can manage it, why can't we??

Melbourne defended the ground better than any team I've seen this year.
Brayshaw in particular just held position really well to not allow our defenders an easy switch. For a 'see ball, get ball'...

Sticky: Re: Injury List - 2021

I'd be happy with this, given it means we expose Sweet to the top level to hasten his development.

  39. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 12 Vs Fremantle 2021

Garcia out, in a role for role swap does that mean it's out of Scott and Hannan?
I imagine Gardner gets to be the injury sub in lieu of Butler.
  40. Re: Will Mitch Wallis succumb to our 'leading goalkicker' curse?

North are stacking their midfield so unless he wants to play forward I'm not sure North go for it.
They'll get Horne at the end of the year to go with Simpkin/Powell/Lazzaro/Cunnington etc.
