  1. Re: Where does our improvement come from in 2022?

Sorry Comrade, that's come off particularly harsh.
  2. Re: Where does our improvement come from in 2022?

A short answer to the OP, we get better with a bit more experience within the bracket of players 22-39 who carried a huge load this year, hopefully not having to play these players so much, and...
  3. Re: Where does our improvement come from in 2022?

So says you. He could have completely shat the bed in all, one or many of those games and you'd be singing a different tune. He was crap in the VFL after he got dropped, why would he have been...

Over thinking whether he is able to be visual through normal media or whether he has transcended to only being visual through Insta posts?
  5. Re: Bulldogs turn $1M profit for sixth straight year

    You're hardcore BAD.

I mean I thought I had some pretty severe edges on this stuff. :)

I prefer my revisionist version of history, thanks.

    Re: Fixture 2022

I assumed the AFL was just doing the opening game over two nights given the success and popularity of the draft, where we played our first half on the Wednesday, and the second half on the Friday...
  8. Re: Bulldogs turn $1M profit for sixth straight year

Not just the commission, but the clubs that it represented indirectly/ directly. I'll never forget how much every club in the land (and their supporters, even those who barracked for Fitzroy) wanted...
  9. Re: Bulldogs turn $1M profit for sixth straight year

Thanks for breaking this down, what's the horizon for the development to be ready?
  10. Re: Is the AFL becoming a private school comp? And does it matter?

Generally speaking I think there needs to be more space for public schools that offer creative, sporting and craft types (to name but a few different types of kids, but you get my drift) things...
  11. Re: Is the AFL becoming a private school comp? And does it matter?

David Warner isn't from a private school, Ricky Ponting left high school after year ten and went to work at a private school as a grounds maintenance staffer.
  12. Re: Jon Ralph’s big early calls for the 2022 season

I can see Port finishing higher than us. A bit like Geelong, they play on a narrow and long ground that most other teams only play on once a year.

    Re: Assistant Coaches

People were reluctant to change jobs during COVID meaning talent was difficult to acquire generally, and this may have resulted in industries paying premiums for good talent right at the time the AFL...

  20. Re: Dean Laidley arrested and remanded until May 11

It's great to see Laidley out and about and looking happier. It will be even better when the media don't make a carnival out of it and it's not considered a novelty.

  24. Re: Is the AFL becoming a private school comp? And does it matter?

St Kevins was known as Toorak Tech for a long time for a good reason.
  25. Re: Is the AFL becoming a private school comp? And does it matter?

Yeah and senior footy certainly sorted him out. A girl I knew dated him for a while, at least in his early twenties he was reportedly still not grown out of it but glad to hear form boydogs he...
  26. Re: Is the AFL becoming a private school comp? And does it matter?

There were footy and cricket, softball and netball teams to join etc. but it wasn't compulsory (I finished late nineties). There was also running/ cross country and athletics etc. based on who...
  27. Re: Is the AFL becoming a private school comp? And does it matter?

I'm not sure what it's like now, but when I was a lad the standard of public school football was really poor and the games/ scheduling severely lacked organisation.

    It's the Sunday footy comps...

  32. Re: The official Sam Reid/Daniel Currie Memorial Eker Thread

  34. Re: Pick a fringe player and predict his future in 2022

Yep, only cracked it for a single senior appearance this year but was extended to 2022. However, knowing that is sheer luck on my behalf because everyone's too lazy to consolidate this type of...
  35. Re: Pick a fringe player and predict his future in 2022

If I recall it was coupled with some selfish decisions as well, which may also have been as you say, born of desire to impress/ get runs on the board.

    Re: Aaron Naughton's Goal-Kicking

Well it was actually in the context of who the best option for a last kick of the game set shot would be.

So, he could have called out somebody else.

However otherwise he could also say that...
