  1. Re: Welcome Jamarra Ugle-Hagan to the Western Bulldogs

I think he’ll play 18+ and kick about 30 goals.

He’s going to pop a few times, can’t wait.
  2. Re: Welcome Dominic Bedendo to the Western Bulldogs

Loving this news. Just what we need.
  3. Re: Pick a fringe player and predict his future in 2022

    Iím going with West.

We need a tough player who makes the opposition earn it and can play a defensive role around the contest, tackle hard, but also win ball when needed. West can be that player...
  4. Re: Welcome Jamarra Ugle-Hagan to the Western Bulldogs

I think he’ll play most games.

Can’t wait to see him in full flight. Going to be a BIG problem.

    Re: Assistant Coaches

Seems like we’ve been left without a chair a bit in the Assistant coach stakes. I wonder how much negotiation was underway with our group while the finals were in flight?

    Glad we are refreshing...

Re: Lets make the hard calls

So, our key defensive stocks are now:

    Keath
    Gardner
    Schache (swing man)
    Cordy
    O’Brien
Darcy (who knows, maybe he goes back? Like Naughty went forward)

It seems a reasonable mix of types...

Re: Put your crazy Bevo hat on

What I think we need to do is leverage our midfield depth. I want us to end each game with a dozen players each having spent 5 centre bounces in the square - letís give oppositions different looks...

Re: Assistant coaches merry go round

King has done a great job, glad to see him progress and sounds like a good decision for him and his family. Like any role (sporting or otherwise) there reaches a point where you are litigating your...

    Re: Where's the pain ?

I’m the same - the margin didn’t mean all that much. It just got away from us and I was probably just disengaged during the last so it didn’t impact me much. 100% the issue in the 3rd to lose as much...
  13. Re: Melbourne V Western Bulldogs - 2021 Grand Final Thread

Yeah. The whistles went away a bit there and it didnít help us. The Schache one was horrid. No eyes for the ball at all and just cannoned into him well late. It bordered on reportable.

Re: Lets make the hard calls

Itís more power to keep willing the ball forward and getting it out while under pressure. Pace sure - but we got our bodies / contested by the Melbourne midfielders which allowed their downhill game...

Too soon to think through some of this but a couple of thoughts from me:

    Re: The Melbourne Narrative

  22. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread - 2021 AFL Grand Final vs Melbourne

Re: Your Grand Final Day - what will you do?

My stomping ground too will be doing the same routine again also! Trying to dig up the jumper and Bulldogs beanie I wore in 2016 too. Definitely not superstitious …. :)
  24. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread - 2021 AFL Grand Final vs Melbourne

Getting really tough to pick the side with a healthy list.

JJ has done some great work the past 2 weeks and particularly against Port, plus has a Normie so hard to see him outside the 22.

Re: Which PF Win Was Better: 2016 or 2021

    Agree with this.

The 2021 win is actually far superior in almost every other way. But 2016 ending so many years of misery will never be topped.

  31. Re: Three things you've learned finals week three 2021 v Port Adelaide

  32. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread - 2021 AFL Grand Final vs Melbourne

    Will Martin recover well and...
  33. Re: Port Adelaide V Western Bulldogs - 2nd Preliminary Final 2021

I’m watching it right now. Don’t tell the missus - said I’d come to bed, but didn’t. It’s as awesome as you think it will be. At the part where JJ kicks his goal. Woof woof.
  34. Re: Port Adelaide V Western Bulldogs - 2nd Preliminary Final 2021
