  1. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 8 Vs Carlton 2021

Young's effort to compete seems conditional. And I reckon that's one thing any coach hates...I'd say that could equally be applied to Schache as well, and goes along way probably to explaining why...

    Re: The Balance Of Power

Wouldn't worry me. Loads of teams have very similar colour schemes in US Sports, especially NFL. They just wear a clash guernsey when they come up against each other. I don't think it's a big deal.

    Re: Trade Dunkley

I think we hold firm again this trade period. He is an almost irreplaceable part of our team. We sure missed him Friday.
And then after season 2022 starts we offer him a new contract. I think he's...
  5. Re: The Western Bulldogs are dominating the AFL, but the way they play may surprise you

Why? Our system didn't fail, the way we played after a qtr and a half did. We're 6-1 not 1-6...

  7. Re: The Moment: Rnd 7, 2021 vs Richmond Tigers

More inexcusable than Lynch? I get it would've been great if he nailed it, but given we lost our shape all over the field from half way through the second Qts, I don't think it was pivotal as it...

    Re: The Positive Thread

The things you've highlighted are precisely what is germain. Our system didn't fail. That stood up. Some of our players failed the system.

This is a painful loss, at the right time of the year.

Re: WB Game Day V Richmond R7 2021

Don't agree. Dunks, English and Williams out hurt us as much as Richmond's outs.
We're 6-1. Let's revisit if Carlton manage to get hold of us next week.
  10. Re: The Moment: Rnd 7, 2021 vs Richmond Tigers

But Richmond missing multiple sitters in the first half wasn't?

Re: WB Game Day V Richmond R7 2021

I love Wally, but he would have not had a chance to impact the game tonight the way we played up the ground.
And given form, I don't think the match committee erred in selecting Schache or West....

Re: WB Game Day V Richmond R7 2021

It's easy in hindsight. I'm not sure that given how hot Richmond's pressure became what Wally would've added to change it.
We choked further up field, in how we promoted the ball. Bombing to four on...

Re: WB Game Day V Richmond R7 2021

I don't think that's true. We learned in April, where we need to improve. I prefer to look at it as a sting, that shows the whole team and coaches what we need to do play with the big boys, week in...
  15. Re: Three things you've learned. Round seven 2021 v Richmond

    1. We'll bounce back, we had the game on our terms, and for whatever reason we allowed Richmond to regain the game on their terms.

  18. Re: The Moment: Rnd 7, 2021 vs Richmond Tigers

For me the moment was the our entire team just getting amnesia and playing into their strengths' from the second half of the second quarter.
