  1. Congratulations Easton Wood - 150 Games

Has missed a fair few games since his debut in round 21 2009.

All the best for this week.

    What would be your plan?
  4. Re: Our 2nd half of Season 2019 - what will happen?

    We will win this week.
  5. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 14, Vs Collingwood

With Sidebottom on the wing, then Hunter will simply have to try and beat him one on one.
  6. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 14, Vs Collingwood

The other thing they did last time was put De Goey into the centre which seemed to work for them.
  7. Re: Three things you have learned round 13 2019 v Carlton.

Gardner needs more time in the VFL and also needs to build up his strength. I would be dropping him this week to work on his fitness and strength and also setting him up for one role, ie either back...

Re: WB Game Day V Carlton R13 2019

We had so much of the ball that we had no chance to rest. Over 400 disposals, 70 plus more than Carlton - no wonder we were tired.
  9. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 14, Vs Collingwood

I would go with Treloar and try and curb his influence.

With Stephenson, he is almost 190cm and can also leap and take a good mark. I would back Wood to play on him.

Re: Momentum - a closer look

In the old days, to stop momentum, you start a big fight. These days, I think one way is to slow the game down. Of course you need to gain possession and try not to give up the ball.
  11. Re: Bankers and Anchors: Rnd 13, 2019, vs Carlton

Cordy has played on Cox, he has played on Harry Mckay (previous match) off the top of my head. Wood on Buddy, etc etc etc.

Re: Josh Dunkley - A power Mid in 2019

It would be nice for Macrae to hit the scoreboard, but I am not as fussed as I was in the past, especially when I have seen Cripps with hardly any goals in his career.
  13. Re: Bankers and Anchors: Rnd 13, 2019, vs Carlton

When I say tall, I mean on guys 200cm plus. I don't really rate Roberts so he is out of the equation.

I will have a think about back six

  16. Poll: Re: Should fans be ejected for calling umpires names?

You know me Jeemak, at least 9 years anyway (on the forum), I have been saying don't touch the rules AFL you are ruining our game. It is all coming to a head, the game is crap these days.

    Not...
  17. Re: Three things you have learned round 13 2019 v Carlton.

You don't know that, it is just a perception.
  18. Re: Three things you have learned round 13 2019 v Carlton.

Well I see it differently, so we will agree to disagree.
  19. Re: Three things you have learned round 13 2019 v Carlton.

Richards showed something in all his games, Webb didn't. Disgraceful treatment, really???
  20. Poll: Re: Should fans be ejected for calling umpires names?

'We've gone too far': Marvel Stadium to review security measures
  21. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 14, Vs Collingwood

    No - they are HBF
  22. Re: Bankers and Anchors: Rnd 13, 2019, vs Carlton

Young yes, but Roberts - nah
  23. Re: Three things you have learned round 13 2019 v Carlton.

He has played 24 games and only averaged 11 disposals a game.
  24. Poll: Re: Should fans be ejected for calling umpires names?

Surprise no, but I would be pissed off yes.
  25. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 14, Vs Collingwood

I have said it for a long time now, Cordy is not a KPP, and needs to take the third tall. As for Young, well he has been asked to go back to the VFL and work on certain things, and I think he is...
  26. Re: Three things you have learned round 13 2019 v Carlton.

Like Dale, I can't see Webb making it. He had chances and didn't take them.

Re: WB Game Day V Carlton R13 2019

I think we can beat them next week. Last time we played them our mid field was all over them till the last quarter when we ran out of puff (after a 5 day break).

We can't have Cordy playing on...
  28. Re: Three things you have learned round 13 2019 v Carlton.

Lipinski was schooled in being an inside mid for the first 7 or 8 games and then took his opportunity when he got a senior game. We tried the same with Webb, who was killing it in the VFL but...

    Bankers

    1. Suckling great goal in the third from the boundary line, 50 metres out on wrong side.
    2. Tim English big mark in the last and goal.
    3. Dunkley, the boy is a beast - 41 disposals and a...

  34. Re: Three things you have learned round 13 2019 v Carlton.

    1. Tim English is improving every game.

    2. Dale has confirmed what I feared

    3. Gardner still very raw, but he was plying his 2nd game, so not too concerned yet.

I forgot about Duryea, I did my ins and outs on the train.

For me scratch Hayes, Duryea must play
  38. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 14, Vs Collingwood

When I said Dale wasn't AFL standard, I recall a comment - all good, just happy you agree with me.

As for Hayes, you could be right, but I would like to give him a go at this level and not judge...
