Re: What happened on 12 February 2020?

In regards to losing posters G. I have been here for over 10 years and have seen a lot of "regular" posters leave in that time. Any thought to reaching out to these G or is it finito!
  4. Re: This maybe controversial but........ I'm almost over Bob.

I like Murph. Simple as that. I don't want to over analyze it too much. I just like the guy.

Seems like Eddie's speech was a beauty. So glad we have Peter running our club.

Heard it too G. Eloquent speaker and makes sense at the same time.
  7. Re: Players or coaches, past or present, you'd like to have a beer and a chat with (any team)

Yep I remember that stoush. A violent one too. In the race at Geelong.
  8. Re: This maybe controversial but........ I'm almost over Bob.

To be fair I only listen in small doses too in the car. Waiting for Mrs BFL outside the supermarket for example. Never a full show.

    Re: How good was....Brian Royal?

Choc was a gun. Won the B & F in his first season. I was there when he won his award and I reckon he was best "off the field" that night too. Held at the old 501 Receptions. Saw a lot of his games...

I think Bob has improved on his radio program since he started. I enjoy listening to him when I have the chance.

    Re: Footy isn't far away

I agree with MJP about Dangerfield not being a good spokesman for the players Association. He is looked upon as a Figjam type and those type of leaders are never any good. Sport, politics or business.

Re: 2020 WB Membership Thread - Target 50,000

I have given a number to people without a team. 8 or 10 off the top of my head. I also get a commitment off them that they will follow the doggies. I will keep doing it too.

  16. Poll: Re: How many live matches have we seen at the Whitten Oval?

Yes it was Easty. He was given the title of Mr. Football. Speaks for itself.
  17. Poll: Re: The most famed bulldogs guernsey number?

Yep. I think he was on channel 2 also. Not 100%.
  18. Poll: Re: The most famed bulldogs guernsey number?

Number 3 for me. I saw both Ted and Chris play and I consider myself very lucky. When you add in Arthur Oliver number 3 is a lock. In regards to Georgie Bissett yes he should have beaten Kevin Murray...

  21. Poll: Re: How many live matches have we seen at the Whitten Oval?

Went to the Doggie's home games from early 60's to 1997. Missing an average of one game per year I would say although for a 8 year stretch it was every game. Too many to count. Many great memories.

Poll: Re: Rating our list 2020

Sweety didn't do bad against Goldstein earlier this year. Yes it was a practice match but I would like to keep him. Plenty of upside with a bit of mongrel in him too.

Re: Lachie Hunter charged with Drink Driving

A disappointing part for me is that the Captain and Vice Captain of a footy club drive the culture of the club. A huge let down by a leader of our club.
  27. Re: Just a reminder why Naughton should stay Forward

Naughton has a bit of the "Royce Harts" about him. His ability to glide across the pack and mark the ball is breath taking similar. Key forwards are very hard to fine. Royce never played in the...

Re: Lachie Hunter charged with Dink Driving

Yep essential travel, social distancing etc, all fines to be paid by the 3 players then Hunter has to face some pretty serious charges on top of that.

    Re: Favourite fringe bulldogs

Yes plenty of love from me for Big Red. Underrated for mine. Great lead for a forward and an accurate kick from close in. Agree that the players walked a bit taller when Red was in the team.

  38. Re: Memorable Bulldog Moments by Individuals.

Wasn't that Ablett snr running through Rohan Smith? Smithy was playing half back and Ablett came running out from full forward and pole axed him.
