Re: Welcome to the Kennel, Mr Beveridge

How do you know he has the final say? In any case, he is accountable for the team performance. We played better football when players found form and were promoted.

Re: Welcome to the Kennel, Mr Beveridge

The coach has to be on the match committee??? This is a strange comment

The only media work Bevo does is the weekly press conferences before and after the match

The only feud he has had...

  4. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 18, Vs St Kilda

Dale turns 23 in a few days so he has had his chances. His last two games were woeful, but hopefully he can take his opportunity on Sunday.
  5. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 18, Vs St Kilda

    True.

    Bont ready to go.
  6. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 18, Vs St Kilda

I don't known how Dale gets a gig. I would love to have seen West get his first game.

Re: Welcome to the Kennel, Mr Beveridge

I was listening to Peter Gordon this morning on his segment at 774 and when asked about Bevo and his contract, he didn't say much and changed the subject. He actually had me worried.

    This is...

    Re: Proactive Poaching

Therefore you can't find a spot for Tomlinson. ;)

    Back six:

    With players available now

    JJ- Trengove - Duryea
Wood - Cordy (no choice here) - Crozier

Has anyone heard of anything so ridiculous as the article above. FFS, the reason you have 45 on the list is to cover your injuries. Too bad Saints.

    Re: Proactive Poaching

As long as he is what we need, then height is not the issue. BUT, if we are thinking he solves a KPP role, then forget it.

Is he what we need? Who does he replace in today's team? These are...

    Where would you play Tomlinson?
  25. Re: Are You Sick Of The Afl Changing Rules Every Year

Rule changes began in earnest not long after 1993, with one of the most significant being Prior Opportunity which was tweaked in 1996 and is now a farce.

Meddling with tackling is the last straw.

    Re: Proactive Poaching

Every generation is growing and growing. The new FF are 200cm plus. When Morris started, 191 was okish, but let's face it he even struggled on the big boys as the years went on.
  27. Re: Are You Sick Of The Afl Changing Rules Every Year

Well if any changes are made on the number of tackles, I am just about done with this sport.

AFL wants to cut back on tackling

The AFL is being run by morons

    Re: Proactive Poaching

That is correct, we don't need another player the same size as a Cordy.

BTW: There is only 1 cm difference in height, not 3cm. Check the club sites.

That rules out Tomlinson for me.
  38. Re: Gold Coast Suns Viability - How Long Have They Got?

BT you have nailed it. This is the best solution to date. The AFL can piss off Melbourne in Darwin and the Alice, and Saints (was Dogs) out of Cairns. Forget States, Northern Australia sounds good...
  39. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 18, Vs St Kilda

    Fingers crossed.
  40. Re: Gold Coast Suns Viability - How Long Have They Got?

Another way to look at it, is to consider, is it worth pursuing on the Gold Coast? Maybe for once the AFL have to admit they made a big mistake.

I heard a caller on SEN say she was at the game...
