  1. Re: Always Right Match Committee Vs Carlton Round 6 2020

Yeah, it's dependent on our outs. I'm hopeful that at least 1 of Smith & Vandermeer plays.
  2. Re: Always Right Match Committee Vs Carlton Round 6 2020

Yep, agreed. McLean to Docherty, and Macrae to go head to head with Cripps.

I've read it's meant to be wet on Sunday so hopefully that negates their big boys and helps our defence.

    Maybe we...
  3. Re: Football Strategy and game plans - what else can we do?

    Naughton to defence....kidding.

I think the key to winning for our side really comes to application and effort. If we drop off even a little bit, we tend to get smashed.

    So I think the question...

    Re: 2016 Bulldogs v 2020 Bulldogs

I think we lack a hard edge compared to 2016.

Morris, Boyd, Picken & Smith were all so uncompromising there was never a doubt they'd stand up in a final, whereas now we have too many players that...

Apparently the impact was deemed ‘medium’ because it had the potential to cause injury. Potential, ffs. The North bloke played out the game, won’t miss any games through injury.

Pretty sure the picks we got for Adams were used to draft Vandermeer as well as part of the Josh Bruce deal.

  13. Re: Always Right Match Committee Vs Carlton Round 6 2020

Richards can definitely clean up his disposal but I think that comes with being comfortable at the level, which you only get through experience. I hope we keep pumping games into him.

In games where the heat is off, I agree. He regularly stands up in lower pressure type games.

I know you can only beat the team you're facing, but he needs to show it when the stakes are higher.

I think it's a good approach and all the players should be up there feeling supported by the club. No chance of performing poorly and using the hub/being away from family as an excuse.

It didn't linger, the opponent wasn't dumped after he got rid of the ball, it was all done while the NM player had the ball.

Yeah, it's a conundrum for sure, but a good one to have.

Given how well the defence is humming, if it continues that way, I can see Naughton playing forward and Schache taking Dale's role.

Yeah, there will be some currently unseen consequences to this change, once coaches work out how to deal with it.
