Shocking match up for Shaq. Why wasn’t our GF CHB given the gig?

Poll: Re: Rating our list 2021: Jordan Sweet 41

The point is playing Sweet ahead of Young would have made no difference to our on field results in 2021 but may have paid big developmental dividends in 2022.

Poll: Re: Rating our list 2021: Jordan Sweet 41

That’s fine, but we’re talking about Lewis Young being picked ahead of him, who was largely crap in the primary ruck role during his lead up home and away games (we lost 3 on the trot prior to finals...

Re: 2022 Western Bulldogs Membership Thread

It’s been the lowest of low key pre-seasons so no surprises the fence sitters aren’t hyped enough to sign up yet.

Would have been much better prepared for 2022 if wed played him instead of Lewis fn Young, rather than rotting away in half assed scratch matches.

It puts a huge dampener on the sport itself. I watch a women’s game and cringe throughout it just waiting for a knee to blow out.

The catastrophic knee injuries in womens footy are a huge issue. Huntington and Davey both gone in Rd 1 is like the equivalent of Aaron Naughton and Clayton Oliver going down in the men’s game.

We’re playing teams twice that beat us easily last year (Melbourne, Hawks, Sydney) plus we play Geelong twice who have bitch slapped us for over a decade.

Tim O’Brien is actually a Hawthorn mole and only came across with the singular goal of making the group turn on Bazlenka, thereby easily facilitating a trade to the Hawks at year end.

Re: Where does our improvement come from in 2022?

We played Lewis Young as our ruckman in the last few H&A games and 2 finals. We still would have made the GF with Sweet playing those games, and even better he’d have more experience under his belt...

Re: Where does our improvement come from in 2022?

Unfortunately, we missed an opportunity to improve in 2022 by denying Marra and Sweet more playing time this season.

Our ruck situation is diabolical and will stop us from progressing.
