  1. Re: Fox vs Seven: where footy analysis trumps inanity.

I actually find MMM commentary the worst of the lot - talk about themselves in stupid nicknames constantly, any danger in actually describing the play?
  2. Re: Always Right Match Committee Rd 19 vs Fremantle

Lewie could barely walk properly a couple of weeks ago, I don't think he'll be ready for a couple of weeks.

West looks ready, can we move Lippi forward a bit more and add west tot he midfield...
  3. Re: Why is there such a gulf between our best and our worst?

Yep, quality of inside 50s really matters. A bunch of throw ins on the 50m arc give you a congested mess but may count as 3-4 inside 50s.

We are young so it is a contributing factor but not an...

    Re: Proactive Poaching

We'll bid Walla up, I'd love us to target Fogarty.
I'm a yes to Hartley too, 26 so just hitting his prime. Would give us the luxury for developing Lewis Young and picking up Ben Kelly in the draft...

    B:

English - Twice he realised he's 100kgs and hurt the opposition. He's a marking threat in the air. Nowhere near the finished product but it's like he adds little things to his game every week,...

Libba and Caleb sound like they are automatically in judging by Bevo's presser so I guess Roarke misses out along with losing Toby to his hammie.

    Re: Proactive Poaching

Media reported we see him more forward, but as much as I hate to admit it Tomlinson is an upgrade on Wood right now or will at least enable Wood to play his more natural intercepting role.
  11. Re: Gold Coast Suns Viability - How Long Have They Got?

Tassie is not united though, the south vs north issue is massive.
If they could solve that dilemma they could make a serious case of a team but until they do the AFL won't consider it.

Let's reign it in a bit, Bulgarian tiddlywinks and Mongolian sack-jumping aren't really comparable to AFL!

We only had Cordy in as our only tall defender that day, with raw Lachie Young in as support.

In game two we had Trengove in who beat him.

Upgrade on the players we've rolled through that position this year (Roarke Smith, Bailey Williams, Willl Hayes, etc).

    Re: Proactive Poaching

We have said we'd play him forward, and at GWS he's played as a rebounding defender and on the wing, as well as stints in the middle.
He's a genuine utility, seems weird to rule out a utility...
  19. Re: Bulldogs, Destination Club: What have we done ????

Playing good football late in his career, good luck to him.

Shows just how late talls do actually mature. Ted Richards was 28/29 when he nabbed his first nomination in the AA squad, and Shaun...

  22. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 18, Vs St Kilda

One SEN interview over summer was telling. A huge proportion of their cap during the 09-11 era was spent on their top 6 players and they had years of back-ended contracts as a consequence. Their TPP...

That's not unreasonable for an AFL standard KPP. Trengove is on $400-425k, although he can ruck too.
We have cap space and Day is an RFA so keeping our picks is a bonus. Latest unsubstantiated...

Re: Josh Dunkley - A power Mid in 2019

In this instance he had plenty of exposed form to draw from though as Dunkley had played predominantly forward and predominantly centre in previous years.
