    Re: 2019 AFL Finals Series

Potentially, with Keefe offering Mumford support.

Grundy is the ace-card here. Mummy can't go with him around the ground. If Grundy fires, Pies win. I'm not convinced by GWS' MCG record either.

He has been tried there, rotating with a HF role.
He certainly has talent, ideally we'd keep him but I could understand if he moves for more opportunity.

    Re: Midfield focus for Williams

His best football has been behind the ball where we have a logjam of players.

Suckling signing on and the development of Lachie Young puts question marks on his head, surely.

    Re: Proactive Poaching

I'm not sure how gettable he is, but his numbers aren't that far off Harris Andrews and he led the league in 1%ers in 2018.

I'd package pick 12 and get picks back for him, knowing they want a pick...

If Keath chooses St Kilda we keep pick 12, offer our second and a third. They'll need it for other deals and the ball will be in our court.

We tend to target players with a specific role in mind, given his tackle numbers are quite high I expect any role we have for him will utilise that aspect of his game.

I'm keen, but then again I have a real dislike for defenders marking the ball against our forwards. He is a genuinely good contested mark and really flies at the ball when given a chance.

We have to meet the cap floor otherwise we cop a 5% penalty in subsequent years.

There were at least 83 players on $600k or more a couple of years ago, that figure is surely over 90 now.
