  2. Re: Why do we seem to think adding players is 'The Answer'?

I absolutely believe it to be system related and it may be as simple as having everybody onboard to make the system work.

What I do know is that to keep doing what we are doing hoping for a...

Re: Sam Darcy:- Welcome to the Western Bulldogs

    Agree
Having watched a few of the televised VFL, Darcy looks to be an excellent use off both sides by foot.
  4. Re: Three things you've learned. Round twenty one 2022 v Fremantle

Is there any team that gives up more goals from Centre Clearance.

We are abominable when we don't get the clearance and mostly problematic when we do.

Re: AFL Game Day R21 2022

Port definitely a strong chance, but Brisbane should really best Carlton at the Gabba
  8. Re: Power move: Port tall's remarkable rise to AFL's No.1 ruck

I agree that it is food for thought, but crediting Finlayson with the reason for them winning clearances is a huge stretch.
I get that he has been able to get possessions, but the analysis of stats...

I did say he can run fast.
Hoping at some point that he finds a second skill of some sort.
  10. Re: Always Right Match Committee Round 21 v Fremantle at Marvel on Saturday

He is one of the few players with genuine foot speed.
  11. Re: Power move: Port tall's remarkable rise to AFL's No.1 ruck

The actual meaningful stat is in those 8 weeks they are 3 and 5, when they really needed to be winning.
  12. Re: Always Right Match Committee Round 21 v Fremantle at Marvel on Saturday

This does not excite me. He has been somewhat underwhelming since injury in the VFL.

We have often queried the value of Champion Date ratings and tend to align how we feel when we see where our players are rated.

Can a Melbourne player get reported if they take out Steven May?
  18. Re: The unofficial "Where is T&T?" who to root for thread

As it stands I am only really concerned with us.

We beat Geelong and the other results lose their relevance.

  19. Re: Top eight, double chance, who misses? We predict the ladder

    Don't be concerned Mantis.

There may be similarities, but there is no 2006 version of West Coast around.

If we take care of business, everyone need to be concerned about us.

    Re: Heat on Bevo?

Bevo's first 2 years really show that coaches should develop a plan to suit the list, rather than demand a list that suits the plan.

    Re: Heat on Bevo?

Not sure the list manager can identify that in advance.

Surely one of the problems for the list manager is the reluctance of the coach to play certain players.

I am sort of expecting Schache to get the job of playing on the resting ruck.

It seems an ideal assignment to justify his exclusion for the rest of the year.
  38. Re: Always Right Match Committee Round 18 V St. Kilda At Marvel On Friday Night

If we look at what Darcy has done at Footscray, he has performed best as ruck/forward.

Schache played back in the first half against Adelaide.

Swung forward after half time to kick 2 goals and was rewarded by getting dropped to Footscray.

Pretty hard to have any confidence after last week.

Unless we bring some heat we will get smashed.

Despite that we are capable of winning by plenty, we just don't know what we will get.
