  1. Re: The "BEST" players who are supposedly available (from rumours heard).

If all the reporting is true, it definitely seems like Collingwood are pushing hard for GC to bail them out of their own mess. I hope no one comes to the party and Treloar stays just to spite them.

Like trading in a used car. Yeah, it might have run like a dream for the past 5 years but the original owner got the 'good' kms.

I'm surprised Coons didn't shoehorn himself into an Essendon comeback in that dumpster fire of a scenario.

    Re: 2020 Player movement

Yeah if we're looking for picks in the 30-40s, we've got players such as Schache or Dale that would be worthwhile putting out there. 12 should be used for something really good.

    Re: 2020 Player movement

Pretty uninspiring. Pick 12 is a valuable asset, I hope we're more creative with it than just downgrading for some picks.
  6. Re: The "BEST" players who are supposedly available (from rumours heard).

Wallis is a permanent forward for mine. I'd also prefer that Bont has the freedom to go forward too and if Dunks goes, we do limit that IMO.

West may push into the midfield rotation but he's a...
  7. Re: A coronavirus-disrupted AFL season unveiled some innovations that should stay but others that should go

    Night GF - definitely not.

Shorter quarters - I prefer longer games. Rewards the grinders like Macrae and Hunter.

    Floating fixture - yeah, fine.

    Pre-finals bye - I'm ambivalent on this....

    Re: 2020 Player movement

He looked well cooked in the prelim but people were probably saying that about Paddy Ryder at the end of 2019 too and look at how important he was this year.

We are in desperate need of ruck...
  9. Re: The "BEST" players who are supposedly available (from rumours heard).

I'm not sure we can rely on Libba getting through a season fully unscathed like 2020.

Warm weather, shorter games, less overall games all helped him pull through.

If we lose Dunks, we need...
  10. Re: The "BEST" players who are supposedly available (from rumours heard).

Cox is the only one who kind of fits a need.

If we lose Dunks (unlikely), I'd offer Collingwood a future second for Treloar. They'd hate it but they're pushing him out the door and it helps them...

The question is why is it only ageing players like Bruce, Keath, Duryea, Suckling (and throw Cox into the mix I guess) that are interested enough to actually pull the trigger and move across to our...

Dunks can’t leave for more dough just because. If we refuse to move him, what’s he going to do? Sit out for 2 years?

Twomey has tweeted that Essendon have an offer out to Kyle Dunkley which is part of Josh’s decision.

I knew Essendon would do that, called it days ago.

I just want to see Danger crying in the fetal position after Geelong lose by less than a goal.
