Re: WB Game Day V GWS Giants R6 2021

    Good.

Bevo has around an 80% win/loss ratio when fielding a more experienced side. We really shouldn't drop this on.

It will be intersting to see how Treloar and Bruce react if any spotfires...

    Re: 2021 Trade Target/s

I'm not sure Crisp stays in the midfield when Adams comes back, although Pendles won't last forever and Crisp is ridiculously durable.

Ed has the family connection to Collingwood but who knows...

    Re: 2021 Trade Target/s

I can't see a GWS player coming to us anytime soon, especially a senior player.
Kolo isn't big enough to play as a no 2 KPD.

I asked Essendon fans about Ambrose and one offered to cover the...

I'll say Trust. Born from 'little moments' in games.

It was 2018 or 2019, late in a game at Marvel and an opposition mid had the ball. English who had just rucked all game gave chase at...

JJ stays in the game longer right now based on experience but he's not the $600k pa player we signed him up for.

Not with Quaynor there and Crisp being indestructable.
I can see Hawthorn chasing Ed.
  8. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 6 Vs Giants 2021

I like the idea of rotating/managing players. We have an embarrassing number of guys playing VFL who deserve senior opportunity, and that excludes Hannan who needs a game or two extra to ensure he...
  9. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 6 Vs Giants 2021

Young reminds me of Cam Wight. Just so goddamn close to being an AFL footballer but just... not.
He'll frustrate us all for the next few years.
  10. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 6 Vs Giants 2021

Hogan plays his best football against the bulldogs (has done so as a Demon and Docker).
We need to get them in red-time in this game. They'll go tall in their F50 and neither Mummy (likely out) nor...
  11. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 6 Vs Giants 2021

Flynn isn't a bad ruck, but the plan was for Mummy to play 1-2 games then rest. He's just played 2 so is more likely than not to be rested.
  12. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 6 Vs Giants 2021

I actually think JJ could be valuable as a quick forwardline pressure player. His kicking to a leading forward is beautiful at times and he knows our system well enough to be thrown anywhere if need...

  14. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 6 Vs Giants 2021

VDM would come in ahead of Wallis IMO.
Cav was the medical sub ahead of him too.

Their first mid rotation (Brawshaw / Oliver / Petracca) is the form rotation in the competition though.
    We bat deeper.
  16. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 6 Vs Giants 2021

McNeill sacrifices his game for the forwardine to function.
I'd say West is pushing for Scott's spot and VDM wight now is ahead of West.

Daniel for Williams and Martin for Sweet are no-brainers,...

  20. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 5 Vs Gold Coast 2021

I think the two ruck structure he's favoured for most of his time at the dogs (Cam-head, Boyd & Roughy) is working really well for us so will be the preferred structure this year and next. ...

Re: AFL Game Day R5 2021

Small forward is a really tough position in a side that isn't going well. hey only had something like 45 inside 50s which makes it even more difficult if you're a crumber not a marker.

I assume that means Daniel out (sus) Martin (rested) for Sweet and Crozier.

  31. Re: Congratulations to Marcus Bontempelli - 150 Games

Re: How to revitalise your playing list

Looking at our list in recent years that's true. I can't think of a small-medium sized kid we took that didn't come good until 4-5 years in the system, then made the grade.

    If you go back to...
  33. Re: Three things you've learned. Round four 2021 v Brisbane at Ballarat.

Martin, English and Sweet should be enough for rucks able to handle AFL games. Sam isn't eligible for a couple of years though is he?

    Four-tall forward line

It's madness! Four talls will never work... until it does?

Our forward set up right now seems to be going pretty well - one of Bruce, Naughton or English seems to take charge every week. ...
  35. Re: Three things you've learned. Round four 2021 v Brisbane at Ballarat.

  37. Re: Congratulations to Marcus Bontempelli - 150 Games

  38. Re: Three things you've learned. Round four 2021 v Brisbane at Ballarat.

7 x $1m contract, I don't think we bite. Back in a Martin replacement with an English 60/40 split

  40. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 5 Vs Gold Coast 2021
