Good contest. Both teams are up for the fight.

Same here, it's time for him to get back into his destructive form.
  6. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 8 Vs Carlton 2021

Given the last few encounters with Carlton there should be some nerves for today's game. We will need to play well.

Re: AFL Game Day R8 2021

Come the end of round 8 we should have a clearer understanding of where we are at.

Melbourne, Port and Geelong are seriously in contention along with us and you would have to expect Richmond and...

Smarter move but he should give Bevo a call and clear the air.

  10. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 8 Vs Carlton 2021

5 weeks of good form at Footscray and he is dumped after one poor showing is a well made point for me. It's not like he was selected to replace one particular player who's now good to go again.
    The...

    Re: The Balance Of Power

I'd be OK with Centrals wearing the jumper twice per year against the Crows and Port as our point of difference is we will be the Bulldogs.

    Re: The Balance Of Power

I'm not sure we should be too concerned about Collingwood's part in this discussion given they refuse to wear a clash jumper against North or anyone else. Essentially this is a one off request each...

Good observations, we have to help Martin and pick our moments to bring Sweet back in.
  15. Re: Congratulations to Jason Johannisen on 150 Games

I remember talking to Simon Dalrymple years ago and while he was reluctant to be definitive on which draft gems he was most happy with identifying he did however speak glowingly about JJ.

Fully agree, we ideally need him to manage the list over the next 3 years and groom a replacement before moving him into a more senior role. He needs a career progression plan.

    Re: 2021 Trade Target/s

I don't see how North trade McKay because he would need to be replaced. They'd just about consider him as a lock wouldn't they?
  22. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 8 Vs Carlton 2021

I think that is the most likely match-up and Keath will have a huge challenge with him.
  23. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 8 Vs Carlton 2021

Tend to agree, two games in wasn't enough of a chance for Young and he needs a few games to find his spot.

I guess the question I had was if we would have been abrupt if we had won? I suspect not.
While on occasions some journo's need a tune up I don't think we won this one.

If Dunks asks again it probably changes the mindset and we would have to consider offers.
  29. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 8 Vs Carlton 2021

I think he could, he might need to start modifying his game to command a spot. Ironically it wasn't that long ago he was a defender getting tagged by the opposition.
