  1. Re: I hate the St Kilda Matchup - Tell me how we win this game???

We average 1-possession per player more than the Saints during 2020...when we played them in R2 they had MORE of the footy than us (336-319).

I keep hearing how this is an issue (high-possession...
  2. Re: Crows investigating after duo allegedly caught with illicit substance

I would think the discount would be more than that. Salary cap going down + player with 'baggage' and a poor reputation = incentive based contract with a low base = low compensation for the Crows...
  3. Re: Crows investigating after duo allegedly caught with illicit substance

For a player who is already questioned re- professionalism (particularly his love of a social occasion) this is not good timing...

For a club wanting to be rid of said player and his big salary,...

The view of the bottom ten sides.

I have listened to podcasts/read articles over the past week and the general perception of the bottom sides seem to be something like this:

Melbourne - Unlucky, going to be ok if they fix their...
  5. Re: I hate the St Kilda Matchup - Tell me how we win this game???

I like a few of your points but this one concerns me because it DIRECTLY relates to game-style. We have not defended well vs fast ball movement teams for a couple of seasons now (hell, think back to...
  6. I hate the St Kilda Matchup - Tell me how we win this game???

    I really hate this match-up.

It just seems that the Saints are strong where we are weak...and their fast method of ball movement causes huge trouble for our zoning defence. Further to all that,...

    Re: Essendon

    Umm.

My comment about age was related to McKernan. Surely we aren't comparing Breust and McKernan as if they are part of the same football universe?

Age DOES matter when it comes to bringing...

Re: WB Game Day V Fremantle R18 2020

I thought so as well 'in the moment' and wanted a free-kick...commentators didn't mention it so I figured I had just 'missed' something...will be interesting to see the replay.

Re: WB Game Day V Fremantle R18 2020

Isn't it strange - he did a good job in this role pre-season but then was dispensed with once the 'proper stuff' started.
  13. Re: 3 things you have learned - RD 18 v Fremantle 2020

Can I go with one thing?

1/. When Richards is the deepest forward and he plays from behind, it is very upsetting for my whippets.

Other stuff I think I already knew - including the fact that...
  14. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 18 Vs Fremantle Dockers 2020

This is going to sound really stupid but 2x rucks at Cazaly given the slippery conditions (likely) = more stoppages just makes too much sense for us to consider.
  15. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 18 Vs Fremantle Dockers 2020

Yeah - but it was being suggested Wood would (haha) replace either Gardner or Cordy and I was trying to make the point that we probably shouldn't do that...

Wood - if he plays - probably gets, oh,...

That sounds like the plot of the book 'Night Moves'. A well written book about a terrible subject.
  17. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 18 Vs Fremantle Dockers 2020

So...who does Wood take out of Lobb, Hogan and Taberner?

We need THREE (3) talls against Freo, not 2.

    But...Georgiades isn't a small forward either.

This is what I don't get sometimes...why would we want Georgiades if we have Schache, Dale, Lloyd, Dickson and - I guess - Wallis?

    We can't play...

  27. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 18 Vs Fremantle Dockers 2020

I am really unsure what we are asking them to do in D50 right now - the defenders...

Watching the Hawthorn game today, I was frustrated...as I feel like I always am whenever we are playing a team that is RUBBISH. (And Hawthorn are rubbish).

Re: Key Dates 2020 Trade and Drafting

Ummm - clubs are pushing for the reduced list sizes.

Players are $ in more than just wages...equipment, coaches, doctors, massage etc etc.

I think it is going to be 38.
  38. Re: Always Right Match Committee - Round 17 Vs Hawthorn 2020
