And now apparently are upset that someone else has some and believe it's a disincentive to trade with them

Re: No-one should let Martin get to the Blues.

This is maybe the first time I've thought a pre-season trade period would be interesting. GC could draft Martin again and return to the trade table early next year with a bit more leverage to make...

    Re: Rating The Trade Period

I'm still pretty chuffed with how yesterday played out. Rarely have I had an opinion about what would be fair or good for us in a deal and it works out that that's essentially how the deal plays out....

Re: What to do with 13?

It might be a case of wait and see til draft day. If we love Weightman maybe we see what Melbourne does with 8 and trade it on the day for something later + points next year if the one love is gone.

  7. Poll: Re: 1st Annual Actual Winner of the Trade Period - 2019

Also funny to see the rating of Essendon vs Sydney.

Sydney retained Papley and get ranked the 3rd worst. Essendon retain Daniher and get 4th best.

  9. Poll: Re: 1st Annual Actual Winner of the Trade Period - 2019

Interesting little plot that one. Dodo saying the best offer presented was 9 and a future first but Gardiner at the Swans saying they were 'advised' 5 and 9 wouldn't get it done so they never...

Would you draft Martin with 13 if he nominates? What odds are there Carlton would use 9?

True. We could quite easily have Sydney Stack or Marlion Pickett instead and we'd be quite happy with ourselves.

Gold Coast now taking Melbourne's Darwin games for the next 4 seasons. Which makes more objective sense.

If the holdup for us is Sydney wanting more than 32 for Jones is there a chance the true roadblock is Dodo and Essendon?

Just speculating. Doubt it's the case

Really not a fan of downgrading 13 unless we see some sort of real benefit. Not convinced the above provides that tbh

    Re: Proactive Poaching

True that. A 10 pick upgrade to the top 15 and pick 51 is a lot for an uncontracted player at age 28 with 30 games of experience and an interrupted pre-season and a downgrade of 28 to 32. Adelaide...

We've apparently rejected a proposal where:

Western Bulldogs — Receives: Alex Keath, Josh Bruce and Pick 23 | Loses: Picks 13, 32 and 51

Other clubs really want that 13 it seems.

Surprisingly the AFL has told clubs that there will not be a pre-season trade period. Probably a good thing not to rush into adding a second trade period.

Not so sure on that. Sounds like what we've already rejected except we also lose 53.

Bruce for 32 and 53 I'd do though.

    44 for Keath.

Only if they refuse to deal future picks because they insist on getting King next year. If they were willing to bring in futures it might be different.
