Re: Why I'm optimistic about 2021.

Naughton as the second coming of Chris Grant is really based off one or two games that he has torn apart in amongst a bunch of games where he has had little to no impact. No one can look at the past...

Re: Why I'm optimistic about 2021.

Should we play Naughton where it's best for him (and his highlights reel) or best for the team? Because I'm yet to be convinced it's the same position.

The cliff has come for Hawthorn very quickly.

It was only 5 years ago they were the envy of the competition and the gold standard for every other club, now they're looking at an extended period...

Sticky: Re: Injury List - 2021

Some footage showed Hannan on the bike away from the group so not surprised to hear he's injured. Not a great start for him, coming back a bit heavy and now dealing with the groin.

Re: John Patton in big strife

Selling used cars might be all that's left once this is all said and done.

Given the messages flying around, I wonder if he'll celebrate his 100th car sale with a frozen ice cream cake?

Peeling off and letting Membrey go up uncontested still burns. He'd crashed every marking attempt (including his own teammates) all day, then decides to hang back at a critical moment in the game.

It had to be a bit of the old 'we're paying this bloke $500k+, we need to make this work' type of thinking when it came to Bruce, because nothing else justified it.

Cordy also had some very important moments up forward in the prelim (not least that glorious knee to Cal Ward's chops). Not sure why we haven't tried him there more since then.

Re: Jackson Trengove-welcome to the Bulldogs.

Trenners was just a bad fit all round. Didn't fit Bevo's versatile defender preference, and wasn't good enough as a ruckman to really make a difference.
