    Re: Ten intriguing out-of-contract players

Also pretty sure we were keen on Cox in his draft year, but I would be looking elsewhere. He's way too timid and frankly soft on the field.

I really like Battle. Clever player with really clean skills and is great overhead. Don't know if he doesn't offer anything we don't already have but no way he'd make us worse.

    Re: How good was.....Leon Cameron?

I'm reading a book about the death of Fitzroy at the moment. There's a funny story in there about the club being so broke in the early 90's that they couldn't afford to have the right indicator on a...

    Re: Footy isn't far away

Something I found astonishing that I learned during the quarantine is that there's next to no game footage of Dunstall kicking 17.5. Surely they were recording every game by then.
  11. Re: Very good sides unlucky to encounter a great side in a GF

They're probably the most talent rich side ever. They had elite midfielders (Voss/Black/Aker/Lappin), elite key forwards (Brown/Lynch), elite key backs (Leppitsch/Michael), as well as several other...

    Re: How good was....Steve Kolyniuk?

I feel like I've told this story before but I played against him once and he wouldn't walk when I snicked him off, so told him to "get the **** off mate" or maybe something more descriptive.

    Re: Matthew Richardson's 2004 afl re-draft

Yes, but - Buddy actuall did play in an era with improved training standards turning the average player into a killer. That should be a huge mark in his favour.

Also low key from what I can tell...

    Re: Matthew Richardson's 2004 afl re-draft

I'm happy with what I've said. Sure, Buddy can't mark overhead but I never saw Tony Lockett run 100m down the wing in 15 seconds and finish from the boundary 30m out, let alone do it twice in the...

Ever of all time yes. People still talk about Ablett Lockett and Dunstall kicking 1000 goals against plumbers and chippies, Buddy's gonna do it against guys who actually train more than twice a week.

Buddy is the best player ever. Ridiculous to not think he goes first here G.

  32. Re: Coronavirus: could the 2020 AFL season be called off?

  33. Re: Coronavirus: could the 2020 AFL season be called off?
