    Re: Practice Game snippets

This happens at the start of every year, it's that training difference between training drill runs with no pressure and playing against an opposition. This is where they need to get a bit more...

    Re: Trade Dunkley

So we keep him for at least another year, preferably two. By 25 we should know what he is or isn't. If they still want him then great, if not then there would definitely be other suitors out there....

    Re: Football Commentators

I've been thinking the same thing this year that it's been getting worse but i didn't realize via these stats actually how bad it is.

Re: How do we get our bark back?

I would say the Willingness/speed in transition from a contest is a key point.

Our biggest failing this year has been our inability to stop sides on a role until a break in play (end of quarters)....

Re: How do we get our bark back?

I'm not sure about pricks, but yes i agree we are unbalanced. Too many lighter running players and not enough of the types that win you those finals/tight physical games.

    I also think we are...
  10. Re: McDonald’s becomes Gold Partner of the Bulldogs

Not complaining at all but just wondering how many other clubs Maccas sponsor?

Are we one of a number or have we been singled out for specific reason? (community work)

    Re: Lin Jong He's a Doggie's Warrior

I like Richards a lot but averaging 11.2 disposals a game (5.8 kicks, 5.4 handballs) isn't good enough for a player of his ability.

I'm not saying he specifically should make way for Jong but to...
  12. Re: 3 things you have learned - RD 12 v Adelaide 2020

    1. Nothings changed, we still look great against weak opposition with no pressure applied. Great at running hard offensively, and poor the other way. Even Adelaide scored several times in a row...
  13. Re: Always Right Match Committee thread Rd 8 vs Gold Coast Suns

Definatley sounds like libba out, porter in as a direct replacement.
Got some big games coming up, good time to rest him.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Bont rotated forward a lot and less in the...
  14. Re: Always Right Match Committee Vs Essendon Round 7 2020

It's clear our forwards are still terrible at the long ball, we made poor decisions going forward and that was our problem.
However still you expect more from Schache in that he barely touched it...
  15. Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs: Louis Butler

I thought Suckling looked proppy last week, definitely see Butler as his replacement.
Looking forward to see him play at this level. He has had zero chances to prove himself at VFL level, so he...
  16. Re: We beat the Giants - Has anything "REALLY" changed?

I feel like you jumped into my head and stole all my thoughts and opinions on the game MJP.

Totally agree with you on most points, although I thought English was much better in the ruck, still...
  17. Re: Rnd 1 Dogs vs Pies Marvel Stadium GA Seating Priority!

Exactly, they shouldn't get seats at all as far as i'm concerned unless they are afl access one or medallion club members
  18. Rnd 1 Dogs vs Pies Marvel Stadium GA Seating Priority!

So Every year we sell our soul to the big clubs, in particular the magpies, for our home games at Marvel Stadium.

Last time we basically reserved half of level 3 for Collingwood 'away' members...

Not that greatest list of draftees from the Jets really (Rayner the exception).
They certainly pale in comparison to the cannons and the knights.

    Re: Preseason Training - 2020

Maybe it's got to do with the potential of an injury occurring and all the social media posting updates reporting it shortly afterwards.

    Still seems stupid to me.

    Re: Proactive Poaching

Would be mad to give 4 years to Elliot.
Has never played more than 20 games in a season. Missed 2016 and 2018 entirely with injury.

3 years with some caveats attached should be best offer.

Keath also toured Moorabbin but chose us, so a good nod to our people and plans that we have attracted the player over other clubs.

    This doesn't happen often.

  27. Re: Three things you have learned-round 23 v Adelaide Crows at Mars Stadium 2019

    1. We still struggle with the big forwards, Trengove even though I don't rate him, will have to come in I think.

Poll: Re: Where will we finish.

Collingwood in front of 70,000 mad pies fans against a team we haven't beat twice this year, and got smashed by their ruck,
or GWS in front of 10,000 against an injury depleted team who we smashed...
  29. Re: Would there be a more "BULLDOGS" thing to do than losing to Adelaide in Ballarat???

I'm feeling exactly the same.... :(

There are just too many factors all aligning for the bulldogs pre 2016 to disappoint us.
I'm hoping this post 2016 bulldogs will not revert to the past.
  30. Re: The unofficial 2019 "Where is T&T?" who to root for thread

So we are barracking for Collingwood to win both their games, and then we will probably play them in an elimination final at the G.
  31. Re: It’s time for the Western Bulldogs to grow up

Yeah I don't think it's fair to judge him so harshly, sure he hasn't been the leaping leap frog intercepter we have seen in the past, but as Mofra has said he has had to adjust his role.

    In 2016...

Re: 2019 Western Bulldogs Membership Thread

    Yeah it's a bs stat.

They should really just quote revenue from membership sales.
How much do we make compared to Collingwood for example. I'm sure they will be more than double our figure.

Hunter says hello. He butchered the ball today worse than I've ever seen him do. So many times they just banged it on the boot when they had time, and when they actually had time they missed easy...
  35. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 20, Vs Brisbane

Fletcher Roberts lack of pace worries me, especially on Hipwood, but I guess as long as he isn't getting the ball in marking contests in the goal square then he can lead out to 50 if he wants to find...
  36. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 20, Vs Brisbane

Cameron and Hipwood are my concerns.
I think we are a bit slow down back. Only JJ has the pace to go with Cameron but we need his drive, so that will leave
Cameron free a lot. I'm guessing...
  37. Re: Fox vs Seven: where footy analysis trumps inanity.

Re: WB Game Day V St. Kilda R18 2019

It certainly is, always less confident against teams below us, and ones that are going through a change in coach.

If we are going to play finals, we basically need to win every game, allowing...
  40. Re: Always Right Match Committee Thread Round 16, Vs Geelong

Cavarra needs to come in, he looks a class above vfl, and we could use some zip around goals.
I think Tory Dickson is struggling to be honest, sure he still kicks straight but he's not the same...
