Re: Our club was born in blood and boots...

Can’t think of a practice I’ve ever seen and been impressed by the intensity. Agree we need more players w mongrel in there.

I am astonished that it isn’t a trait Bevo doesn’t seem to value and...

Agree this is an outstanding result. Exactly who I wanted in that role - so glad he has the respect of his team members to be voted in. Great leader and character - seems like the type of bloke that...

Re: Do we owe Dunkley midfield time this year?

I agree - that’s what I meant by the lift he gives the boys just by being there. I love him don’t get me wrong - but I question whether he can put a full season together like he has in the past....

Re: Do we owe Dunkley midfield time this year?

Gee - looking at this it is actually incredible the depth and talent we have in the middle of the ground. To think Bailey Smith might not be in our best 6 midfielders is mind boggling.

    Libba...
  6. Re: Getting to the Whitten Oval on matchdays in the VFL days and Early AFL days

    Love your commitment!

These days for me it’s down Nepean, inkerman, Canterbury road then through Docklands and down Footscray road. Same way to Marvel, only shorter - park behind city Mazda.

Yes Parkville. Good spot. I’m Bayside now so parkdale round the corner!
  8. Re: Getting to the Whitten Oval on matchdays in the VFL days and Early AFL days

Bit late to this thread i know.... Grew up in Ivanhoe, my dad is the most diehard dogs fan north of the yarra in the 80's (and probably still now). For us it was always a drive - a fair drive too...

Do we owe Dunkley midfield time this year?

Interested in the WOOF collective opinion.

From the clubs perspective we held onto Josh because Essendon weren’t prepared to pay for him. They made commitments to him they weren't prepared to...

Re: 2021 Western Bulldogs Membership Thread

Agree. Don’t see the vaccine rolling out before the season starts so very slim chance we reach a decent pop penetration this season.

This lockdown indicative of how cautious they’ll be. I’m not...

Re: Are You Sick Of The Afl Changing Rules Every Year

This was my though too - the player Manning needs to decide whether to stand on the mark and stop the player playing on, or to move upfield and provide another defensive option.

    I suppose the net...

Re: 2021 Western Bulldogs Membership Thread

I’m expecting crowds at 50% this year. Granted winter will bring new challenges but contact tracing and containment are in a different league to last year.

If it is 50% capacity - I’m really...

Re: AFL Prospectus - Bont etc.

Keen to see where he sits...
  26. Re: Who has a point to prove in 2021, if only to themselves?

I’m not happy with his work ethic on the field either. Drops his head too quickly, is soft at the footy and goes missing for days.
  27. Re: Who has a point to prove in 2021, if only to themselves?

The media - can’t remember which reporter exactly but the mail I read was Dunkley was particularly disappointed w JJ and Bruce’s training effort and preparation
  28. Re: Who has a point to prove in 2021, if only to themselves?

Hmmmmmm. I guess so. I’m a big fan but yes, we’ve underperformed on expectations lately.

Why settle for that in only one of his years?
  30. Re: Who has a point to prove in 2021, if only to themselves?

I reckon there’s a few of the boys who have a statement to make.

Bruce is the obvious one after last year - but in the “experienced player” camp I’d add JJ as well. Doubt he feels heat but he has...
