Re: Josh Hill - hindsight is what it is. Hill started that next season really well playing partly as a HB sweeper, which kept him involved in the contest. A month in, I was kinda relieved we ended up saying no to Hawthorn in the closing stages of that trade period.
Then he does what he does for the balance of the year and is worth even less.
If there's a lesson, it's trade out inconsistent players when they still have currency.

In reality we didn't want to trade with Pelchen because he kept us on hold for so long. I think we strung them along towards the end so that they couldn't execute any other trades.
Waiting until the last minute worked against them.
We also gave both Hill and Everitt 2nd chances by knocking back deals a year earlier than when we ended up trading them and we still couldn't get them to play the sort of football we wanted.
