Thanks for putting this up TCD.

Big surprises for me are Tom Hawkins and Ryan Crowley.

Crowley went from potentially not playing AFL footy (was not playing at Freo in 2012 until Ross Lyon came on board) to winning a club B&F. Amazing stuff.

Thanks TCD. As usual, alot of midfielders winning. Good to see a couple of KPP's and HBF winning.

Did anyone hear BMacs speech at the b & f, apparently said it will be 6 years until we can seriously challenge for a flag, is this true?
If that's the case, how do you sell that to the members?

Hopefully we come good in 4-5 years with good drafting now because our drafting from a few years ago is hurting us now.

You won't find anything, because they just had a meeting at the end of the season and decided the order based on who they thought had a good season. Strangest 'voting system' I've ever heard of.

As long as we show continued improvement it should be ok. Another year like this one though will be very testing to say the least.

Agree Maddog37. That's what I want to see at least some improvement and that we are slowly getting there. It's going to take time to reaching the heights of where we were in 08-10.

Didn't hear it, but it's in today's Herald Sun. I have no idea how to sell it to members/fans/kids/new AFL viewers. I just wonder who'll be at the helm then.

BMcC's speech was excellent and only served to realize that he is on the right track. This year saw the introduction of 8 first year players with a further 8 to be drafted for 2013. Reference was made to players needing 5-6 years and 120 games experience to reach the maturity of being fully developed League players. This doesn't mean that we will not continue to improve next year and beyond. I found his approach to be refreshing but do not expect immediate results. Remember that it was only 4 years ago that the Sydney Swans finished in 14th position. This is a coach on a mission and we need to be patient and have faith in the club having a bright future.

He said it would take time, but I don't believe he put a timeframe on it.

He is a huge believer in you must have a mature and well developed list (back to the whole age and games played profile). He continued to preach that games are won off the back of contested footy and defence.

I may be in the minority but I reckon he will be.

We really need some A graders or we will just have an ordinary team languishing at the fringes of the 8.

I like his approach, we just need the right players to pull it off.
