Not really sorry. I might be able to get a brief report at some stage however.

Hrovat played and was pretty good from what I've heard. Hunter and Prudden also played.

    Nah, sorry.
Only 4 Dogs played: Hrovat, Prudden,Vez. and Hunter.

Fletch. R. was there as an observer, and I heard him tell some one who asked, that he had a minor hip complaint, but that it was not a major worry at all.

    Vez?

How'd he go? Puffing more than he should be?

    In the heat as well!
Vez might be the first footballer to self combust on the field

Ha, I'm actually a Vez fan. Even before he came to the Dogs I hoped he'd make it as a footballer. And I still really want him to.

I'm just concerned that he's not got the required tank, work ethic or head to build a base solid enough to put himself forward as a league footballer.

He has the talent in spades.

Dead right, he was an outstanding junior by all accounts.

I like Vez too, it's a shame he has struggled to date.

    Real nice guy too.

    All sad but true.
He played for 3 quarters like a man just going through the motions.
I found myself thinking... this is a guy that knows.. here, [ Williamstown] in 2013, is where the journey ends. He played without much involvement with the game or team mates, just going through the motions, missed 3 shots at goal, the last was absolutely butchered missing everything by a margin.
And yes he came off frequently sweating so heavily he did look on the point of self combustion. Most of the time he had just jogged around showing little interest in his opponent, or the game as such.

After the 3/4 time huddle, Peter German pulled him aside and had a brief one on one with him. What ever it was German said to him I don't know. But in the last stanza you could see the talent that so frustrates us with Vez, because we know it is there. And that makes it all the more frustrating seeing what he is capable of.
