    Biggest wasted talent???

Who has been the biggest disappointment in the AFL. That is, has talent to burn but threw their opportunity away because of attitude?

Recently, Mitch Thorpe was said to be the best CHF seen in junior ranks. Laurie Angwin went pick 7, and we know how that worked out.

James Cook would have to be up there.

Bucky. Michael Shepperbottom. Local kid, big, quick, aggressive and could kick goals from all over the field.

He just didn't want to be a footballer badly enough though.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Ron James, but not from the intended thought of the thread.
I was deeply sadden not to be able to see he's career unfold.

I'd have someone like Hugh Reimers in the mix as someone who never realised his full potential on the field.

195cm defender was something we were crying out for but he didn't have a great run with injuries and I think his professional career was a distraction for him.

Adrian Campbell came up short on my expectations of him as well.

Nathan Brown. Broken leg doesn't help, but he could have been anything.

Good cricketer as well. Just not committed, unfortunately

Not sure he's a wasted talent because of attitude as suggested by the OP.

Fevola is certainly the first that comes to mind. If he had even an ounce of professionalism he'd be a legend of the game.
