I know it's Easter weekend, but we should get a good crowd, and Crows supporters are good travellers, especially seeing as it's a long weekend.
For those who were always the underdogs and wore it as a badge of honour.

First up for the Hudson grudge match.
    That should pack em in
Seriously though they had to put it in Melbourne for Johnno's 300th (touch wood)

Hardly a random draw is it?
We seem to play Adelaide in round 1 often don't we?
We even played them this season on Easter Sunday.

I don't think there's anything random about the draw anymore and I wouldn't imagine the AFL would pretend there is. There's too many requests etc from clubs to be fulfilled. It's also all about maximising crowds, theoretically at least.

We do seem to play Adelaide in round 1 quite often comparitively, there must be a good reason somewhere along the line.

You'd hope they'd be some good biff in the AAMI game.

Home game for Johnno is excellent, should be a good turn out! Thats if everyone isnt scarred from the last 7 games of 2007 season..... i shouldnt think so, 2008 round 1 would be a good place for a fresh start!

Why is the 1st game of the season during Easter?

Truth be known we are once more dudded by the AFL. We have to play Easter Sunday, Mothers day, fathers day and never ever get a blockbuster and every interstate team.

It would have been nice to play a Victorian team and have a crowd of 40,000 plus for Johnno's 300th. I hate the rigged draw and can't stand the favouritism towards certain clubs.

    *cough* COLLINGWOOD FAVOURITISM *cough*

Doesn't need to be said, they have the best draw by far every single year. I see their first game will be in Melbourne against Freo, so they will fly to perth once as always, this time against Freo.

We will probably end up going to west twice, or adelaide twice.

Hope we have a huge one for Johnnos 300th, he deserves it and so does the club.

I have read this a few times.

It is no longer the case that the teams you play in the 1st seven rounds, are the teams that you play twice.

In 2007, we played Richmond is Round 3, but did not play them a 2nd time, and we played the Kangaroos in Round 14, and again in Round 22.

We should request to play Richmond twice every year.
