    Re: Marcus Bontempelli

Macrae and Bont in the first ever tie from players of the same club?

Marcus gets the threes, Jackson gets a two or one in most games…. It would be fun wouldn’t it.

I can safely guarantee one thing about all this Brownlow talk. It's not front and centre in Bont's thinking. He has more important things on his mind.

Has anyone ever done the Brownlow/Goal of the Year double?

Would the odds to place on a bet like that would be a long shot ?

    After Sunday, probably not.

I've watched that replay over and over again and I still can't work out how the *!*!*!*! he kicked that goal.

Yep. Defies everything in the circumstances. I’ve been thinking if he took 10 shots like that at training how many he would kick. I’d say better than half. More class than arse our Bonts.

I personally way prefer those goals to the five running bounce types. Freakish and a bit flukish all day.

Just when you think The Bont can't get any better he goes and does that!

Somebody asked Swamp that on Twitter on Sunday night and the answer was no.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I'm thinking it was stunned disbelief more so than indifference.

Is this the most iconic celebration in the AFL right now?

It's just so emblematic of the guy : cool, calm, in control and emphatically humble.

Damn, he is just a monster. Looks like a man playing against boys at times.

AFL website Brownlow predictor has Bont on 23, 1 ahead of Oliver. Macrae is on 12.

The best response definitely belongs to Mitch Wallis. He looks on in disbelief and when the camera cuts to the boundary angle you can see Mitch had the straight line view, sheer amazement.
