    Re: Thank you Adam Cooney.

Apparently it was the 'sponginess of the floor' in their training facilities, and his desire to play under James Hird that swayed it…

Ah, Adam. Hilarious right to the end.

Dodoro says Dogs won't pay any of Cooney's 2015 salary. Says Cooney wanted to play for James Hird - meeting critical to him rejecting North.

Terrific in his brownlow year, and ruined with the injury,
    Good luck to Adam

So long Coons. You've been phoning it in the last few years, but prior to that you were a great player for us.

No bad blood from me. Just good wishes and thanks for the memories.

All the best to Cooney, would have preferred he went to a different club but that's just personal. He can walk out with his head held high unlike someone else we know ...

So it's official. I'm going to have to change all of my internet passwords.

Good luck Adam. Thanks for being a Bulldog. I will treasure the one conversation I had with you while lining up for the urinal at North Port Oval during the VFL Prelim this year.

    Cheers.

Favourite Cooney moment: 2006 V Adelaide - dribbled goal (wrong foot?), matchwinner - heady days may they come back again.

Other than his bursting running goals I loved him winning the tap against Dean Cox in the ruck. Showed he was capable of doing anything.

I thought of the exact same moment. Standing on the fence windmilling my arms as he slotted it.

Wanted to go to Essendon to play for James Hird. Never thought he'd say anything more humorous than the Burger Rings Speech. I was wrong.

    Thanks Coon dog.

One of kind, shame we never got to see him at this peak.
