2015 Season: Sure Thing, Most At Risk & Doomsday Predictions

Yes, I've stolen the thread title off AFL360. Some predictions for 2015.

    Sure Thing: Libba winning B&F
    Most at Risk: Ayce Cordy
Doomsday: Bob quitting the club to go to GWS
Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023

    Lol BT

Sure Thing: Stringer nominated for goal of the year
Most at Risk: Jordan Roughead, if he goes down again our most experienced defender over 190cm will be Talia
Doomsday: Beaten by GWS by a Griffen goal in the final minute
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

    Sure thing: Stringer to electrify!
Most at risk: Expectations on Boyd
Doomsday: Clay Smith gets injured first game back
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Re: 2015 Season: Sure Thing, Most At Risk & Doomsday Predictions

Sure Thing. Caleb Daniel getting ripped off in the NAB Roising Star award final 'voting' coming second to some GWS player nobody has has heard of outside of the voting panel.

Most at risk. Josh Prudden. I would have said Simon Garlick

    Doomsday. Appointing Sam Hinkie CEO.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Re: 2015 Season: Sure Thing, Most At Risk & Doomsday Predictions

Sure thing - Caleb Daniel will make clubs look silly not recruiting him
Doomsday - backline injuries ( we can't afford any)
Most at risk Ayce Cordy ( needs to show something )
I was going to put Tom Boyd, but that we be a knee jerk media type call.
I'll let those dingbats on the outside make that call.

Sure Thing: Jakey to kick at least 35 goals.

Most at Risk: Our membership if this season doesn't become an 'exciting' brand of football.

Doomsday: Another ACL to Clay after coming back. I'll cry.

Sure Thing: We will do better than we think we will, and but not as well as we would like to. (Again).
Most at Risk: Our Beemac era promising young recruits. They will have seen the dollars paid to Tom Boyd, and could be tempted elsewhere.
Doomsday: The club management continues to implode (see separate thread relating to Granty).

Re: 2015 Season: Sure Thing, Most At Risk & Doomsday Predictions

Sure thing- This year will be different from all those other years and Jarrad Grant will take the competition by storm... Or maybe next year.

Most at risk- Our financials if the new "attacking style of footy" results in huge scores against but no improvement in our ability to kick goals.

    Doomsday- T Boyd ACL
Western Bulldogs: We exist to win premierships

Hinkie's good at his job in a high concept sort of way.

    Sure Thing: Tom Boyd ACL

Most at Risk: Tom Boyd's ACL

Doomsday: Tom Boyd doesn't do ACL, kicks 15.10 for the year

Sure Thing: Tom Boyd will be booed every week.

Most as Risk: Any opposition fan sitting next to me who boos Tom Boyd.

Doomsday Scenario: Tom Boyd decides to leave at the end of the season to join Carlton.

    lol

Sure thing - wishing we had more than one Dale Morris to play in the backline
Most at risk - Ayce Cordy, Josh Prudden, Daniel Pearce, number 36 (forgotten his name)
Doomsday scenario - Libba doing his ACL
Anyone can support a team that is winning, it takes no courage. But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you, that takes a lot of courage, so lets always be behind our boys and girls in red, white and blue.
