Ha - ta. I don't know much about him just have vague memories of him being "solid". But that's pretty unequivocal.

I've really liked the look of Lloyd Meek from Freo in his limited game time and he seems to be well back in the queue as they are only willing to play him as a ruckman. He'll get a pretty good run with Darcy out for a little while so we can see if he's really got something. Out of contract too.

    Ballarat boy?

The last time we have a Ballarat born ruckman in finals we did pretty well.

Would Bevo be able to handle that nickname at airport check-ins?

I'll keep a close eye on him.

We just need a big body grinder type, like prime Stef or Nank who can chew up big minutes and neutralise the opposition #1. I haven't seen Meek at all so can't comment on him specifically but I like the sound of a 111kg behemoth.

    This is Meek in action...

Good call imo, Meek is worth looking at.

Looks good from that vision. I like it when big blokes grab it and hoist it forward, seems like he's pretty proficient at it.

How mobile is he? His centre bounce jumps seem pretty low for a full time ruck.
Needs to drop a few kgs?

Yeah if he's lumbering he's not going to play with us until he's not lumbering. It's just not the type of player Bevo would choose.

From what I've seen in the PS and his couple of games earlier in the year he's pretty agile without necessarily being quick. I haven't seen him play without help so hard to say if he's doing much between stoppages but I don't think he's any worse at it than Martin and would definitely be better at it than Sweet.

Meek looks good. So does that that ground - absolutely superb turf.

What about Sean Darcy from Freo. Isn’t there some talk about him wanting to come back to Victoria (Geelong)?
Anyone can support a team that is winning, it takes no courage. But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you, that takes a lot of courage, so lets always be behind our boys and girls in red, white and blue.
