Being a 1 point player is pretty important in that league. Usually an ex-AFL player is worth 6 points and there's a cap of 50 over the 22 players. 1 point players are usually reserved for those who have come through the juniors there.

Hopefully he dominates and makes good coin while doing it.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Reckon he's odd on to kill it at that level. He won't be massively undersized, won't be slow, and with his endurance he'll be ahead of most other players.

I grew up in Vermont, so it will be nice to see Mitch playing for them. Might have to go down for a bit of a nostalgic look this season. Good luck with the Eagles Mitch (here I am presuming that they are still the Eagles). That would be the first time I have seen them since the 1969 Premiership win over Blackburn.

Coming from a Footscray family most of my childhood spectating was done at Western Oval.

Thoughts on it? We need a backup. 25 year old now. Missed a chance or no good? Haven't seen or heard about him since he left Footscray so don't know what he's been like since. Obviously good enough to be drafted.

No tank whatsoever, haven't seen him play for a number of years but would need a quantum leap in his aerobic capacity to play AFL

I remember we tested his VO2 max at the lab when we were considering drafting him and he recorded the lowest number of any player we ever tested (including L Jizzle). It doesn't seem physically possible for him to make the grade.

    Darcy Fort?

It's a shame because he is a very talented player. Great skills for such a big bloke.

Shame he could really only play for a quarter before gassing with Footscray.

Pies duo allegedly involved in altercation with ex-player in NT

COLLINGWOOD'S Levi Greenwood and Tyson Goldsack were allegedly involved in a physical altercation with ex-AFL player Nathan Djerrkura at a remote Northern Territory pub on Saturday night.

Greenwood, 29, and Goldsack, 31, were in the NT for the White Ribbon Football Competition and Family Day earlier that day at Hindle Oval in Nhulunbuy, about 1000km east of Darwin.

A third man who was with the two Magpies and is employed by Rio Tinto, a principal partner for the AFL's indigenous programs, was also present for the incident at the Walkabout Tavern in Nhulunbuy.

AFL.com.au understands Greenwood, Goldsack and the third man left the pub immediately afterwards and no one was seriously hurt.

An NT Police spokesman confirmed a man was arrested at the venue on Saturday night.

"He has since been released and issued an infringement for disorderly behaviour," the statement read.

"Police have not received a complaint and are therefore not investigating an assault."

A Collingwood spokesman told AFL.com.au that club officials would speak to Greenwood and Goldsack when they returned to Melbourne.

It is believed Djerrkura engaged in conversation with the Magpies pair and the incident happened shortly after.

Djerrkura, 30, played 25 games for Geelong and the Western Bulldogs between 2007 and 2012.

He retired from the Bulldogs with a season still to run on his contract and returned to the NT, where he lives in the Gove Peninsula, about 30km south of Nhulunbuy.

Djerrkura's late father, Gatjil, was a former chairman of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission.

Greenwood and Goldsack each signed new one-year deals in October to extend their AFL careers into 2019.
