This is one of the reasons why I can't bring myself to overly critical of players leaving a club. It's a hard decision for so many players to leave because of the close bonds many of them forge.

It's great to hear that some team mates rallied around him

That would seem a good fit for him.
He can spend a few days pig shooting between games.

Where did you see this? There has been a lot of publicity here talking about him playing with one of his brothers at Goolwa/Port Elliot.

The Darwin league is over summer so quite a few footballers travel up and play the season up there, doesn't impact on their home club back in Victoria, SA or wherever.

Thumbs up Re: Following our ex's...................

He's not one of ours but Tom Bugg has retired after being at Carlton for five minutes. Shining JJ's premiership memorabilia must be harder work than it appears to be from the outside!

There are plenty of players with a bit less talent that played a lot more footy than Bugg. Has he given a reason why the sudden change of mind?

    From TheAge

Bugg, 25, told teammates he was retiring because of his growing interests outside the game.“My life away from football has changed in a very short period of time, which has been the reason behind this tough decision,” Bugg told Carlton’s website.

He runs a social media influencer company with his girlfriend and it's more money than being on a rookie list.

Kind of crazy that the bolded is indeed a "thing". I can't even begin to imagine trying to explain the concept to my late father.
Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell

Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath

And we all found heaven - 2016 Premiers!

Years ago my daughter decided that she wanted to be a YouTube content provider. As much as I want to be a cool dad and all that I'm kind of glad that it hasn't been mentioned for a while!
