Can we put an embargo on talking about the Mattress Man until the season starts? My life is boring enough already.

No boardline flying this preseason for Jakey
Back complaint grounds Essendon star Jake Stringer as Bombers tighten defensive screws.

As soon as I saw the headline “Bomber star injury setback” I had no doubt who it would be

Of course when I think of teams fading out in finals I only ever think of the Bulldogs and never that September killing machine Brisbane.

If I recall correctly, we out lasted a team in an epic semi final on their home deck at some point in 2021. I dunno. They were probably fitter.
I do wonder if Kane is simple, or just sneaky.

We must have been the luckiest team in history to be in front in the third quarter of a grand final when we were so blatantly unfit.

After a month of essentially living interstate in lock down!
I mean, I'm not an excuses guy but the whole "live in a hotel room and don't train" BS we copped that month has really been forgotten in the telling of that match. Genuinely no team has ever had it tougher in the lead up. I doubt any ever will.

Plus the Hawks game in Launceston was an ordeal from memory in the last round.

I don't think any other team in history had a finals series preparation like that, leading up to a GF in AFL history.

Because it was a fake flag. Unless we won it.

I've told more than one Demons supporter that was a false flag event.
Nobody's looking for a puppeteer in today's wintry economic climate.

Well their president said the players wont feel like premiership players unless they win one on the mcg. She's spot on.
