    Re: Following our ex's...................

Friend of mine went to the bombers game and Billy Gowers has a hair dressing salon at Marvel , hair cut and a pirate beer $13 .
So he went and got one, he isn’t a drinker but $13 for a haircut was cheap in anyone’s book.
He was happy to have a chat ( Billy always happy to chat) really nice bloke .
Apparently wasn’t in the right state of mind at the dogs , said the media stuff took its toll . Said he wasn’t on social media but you hear it all and people show you anyway.
He plays at Moe now. My mate talked him into putting his name up again to get drafted , said he would think about it.

Lewis Young way back in the pecking order at Carlton. Unable to make the extended bench.

McGovern out injured and Sam Durdin as his potential replacement.

Read a good article on the McMahon pick and how that selection is on track to amass a record number of games between McMahon, Ward and Macrae.

McMahon had a lot on his plate - certainly didn’t appreciate he was co-parenting interstate while living with a host family and trying to get his AFL career going at age 22. Pretty amazing on reflection. He still calls the Dogs home.

McMahon was great when he was going. Him, Gilbee and Griffen all running off half back were a great combo

That would still be an outstanding running back line. When McMahon was switched on he could quickly take a game apart.

One of his best games was the EF in 2006.

I recall many supporters were constantly bagging him when he played for us.

As they bagged the bald Eagle. We could do with a bit of speed and accurate kicks these two gave us. I think they felt McMahon was a bit soft, same with Eagleton. Although both were IIRC outside player they were both talented. Eagleton’s 50m+ bombs through the goal posts were a crowd pleaser.

I never feel players are soft. They all probably have a moment when they weren't switched on and some supporters never let up.

Eagle was a ripper at executing a long raking kick while travelling at blistering speed.

Until 2016 that was one of the most enjoyable games I've watched. On a big stage against a big club, we really delivered. Monty was amazing that day too. He would've (and should've) been subbed out the hit he copped from Brodie Holland had occurred now.
I'm pretty sure I read Monty comment that he had little memory of that game after that point, despite kicking 3 or maybe 4 goals after than incident.

    Kicked 4 and doesn't remember a thing.
