That's a big night out for English against a quality opponent.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

English has performed well all season against the mid and lower tier ruck opponents. His inexperience & age gets shown up against Grundy, Goldstein and likely Gawn - but he's going really well otherwise. Great to have a ruckman that marks the ball 6 or 7 times every week (as well as Boyd & Rough combined for a while there - we'd have games where they would have less than 3 marks between them regularly).

English is as good a story for us as Naughton and Bailey Smith in my view. Huge talents in the making.

Only an equal best. My rules are you need to register at least one career best to have the equal bests mentioned.

It's the rule, but yeah there's the odd exception. But Lloyd has kicked 3 goals on three occasions this year. If I go around rewarding him with equal 3 most goals then how is he ever going to muster the effort to lift up to kick 4 goals in a game? You & Bevo and all our fans will thank me, and me alone, when he kicks 4+ goals within the next few weeks all because I didn't 'equal' him.

He will beat Jack Collins record and kick 9 in our premiership win this year.

All valid points. But from a purely selfish point of view I gave home votes, so I was certain he’d have a career best!
