Re: "They" call him The Package

The Package, it is ridiculously over the top. I like it. If he can learn to cut a mean promo, there is a career in the WCW post football waiting for him.

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Brian Taylor has called Marcus Picken the last 3 weeks. Clearly calling things and players accurately is more a nice to have guideline than a standard to achieve...

'The Beast' - nothing better than when Jake goes beast mode.

Jake needs to influence games in the second half and have the switch turned more to on than off to be called 'The Package'.

Did I forget to mention he is a super, super player?
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

I never really use the nicknames. It was Johnno and Morris not 'The Smiling Assassin' and 'The Glove'

I tend to just use "STRINGER!!!!" with an obligatory fist pump. Simple, yet effective.

I think the package thingy just sounds tossbag-y.

Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath

Players call him Stringsy which seem easy enough to yell at games.

All these elaborate, multi-syllable names fall to pieces when yelling something out in the moment - and Jake certainly has his moments

I like his surname too. It's made to yell out just like Ablett was.

I prefer the st-rinnnn-gah! Myself. Especially as goes for a hanger.

    Strang, like The Wire.

    Yep. Just Jake. Like Pele.

Wasn't Cher known as Cher Bono at one stage?

If Jake is in part responsible for returning the "Grail" to the Whitten Oval, I would have no objections to calling him "Jesus"
