Re: "They" call him The Package

I didn't see much of the game, but the goal he kicked in the last qtr was ridiculously good.. Only a handful of players in the comp could've kicked it and going by his reaction he was pretty happy with it.

Can't wait for this kid to play on a nice sunny day at the 'G in September.. It might be fun.

He reminds me of Franklin in that he just has Big Time written all over him. One day he will retire and need an extra twenty minutes for his career highlights reel.

Yep, just as well the Dwayne Pipe wasn't commentating, otherwise we would have all been subjected to the phrase "CRAZY GOOD!" once again. Mind you, that would be 100x preferable over getting another BT/Darcy/Richo/Lingy game ever again.

    This one wasn't bad either:

His highlight reel would run 30 minutes already.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

    That is a massive call.

But you know what? You could be right. After all, Snr was a pretty decent player. ;-) hehehe

At the minute "The Package" is more gift wrapping than present. Once he gets his core engine built up, he will be able to hit beast mode 15 times a game, versus the couple he does now, and that's just scary.

The drafting of Macrae and Stringer that year showed the club thought long and hard about what was needed in the club and they got it right big time, solid gold those two.

Macrae, Bontempelli, Grant, Stevens & Wallis add a fair bit of size to the midfield. Allows our mosquito fleet to compliment rather than have to fight above their weight.

Finally watched a replay of the GC game last night. Stringer was woeful with his decision-making and skill errors for the first 3 qtrs but the effort never wavered. The rewards certainly came in the last qtr.

He is such a unique player with a unique set of skills - as others have alluded to, he just needs to focus on doing the basics well and he will end up being a top 10 players in the competition IMO.
