Certainly he was a risk worth taking for the Dees but I wonder if he gets another chance next season?
Recently Goodwin was asked this question and he indicated that he was a long term prospect, and that he was building back up after so long off. It was a pretty generic response though. To me he’s lost that explosive pace, or confidence in his body that he can push that hard to make him what he was again. So I would not be surprised to see him let go considering list size changes.

If the list size is reduced it's going to be a challenge for clubs to have players with some challenges around durability
I suspect that the Dees will offer him a 12 month contract though

That’s my gut feel too.

I’m not so sure. I think with list reductions he will miss out. He hasn’t played since round ten which rings alarm bells.
More of an In Bruges guy?

Re: Harley Bennell.
As an aside have you ever seen a club that finished 17th the year before bring in so many retreads? Or a club that finished 17th honestly believe they’re so close to a flag? No wonder they’re in the shape they’re in.

Re: Harley Bennell.
I think reduced list sizes will be the death knell for him. Clubs need to optimise their operations across the board and making hard calls are now part and parcel of what they need to do to survive. He's played 5 games and has a horrendous injury history, my money is on the Dees reducing risk.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Melbourne have done the right thing in reporting him and now isolating him from their hub
If all this is true, he is making it very easy for the Dees to let him go

The dees gave him one last chance and he’s blown it. It’s his own fault, and the dees need to do the right thing and cut ties.
I will never see #16 the same!!

Quite amazing when it’s the business end of the year and god forbid they could be in it.
You would think that’s the last thing you would be doing.

Re: Harley Bennell.
Looks like he's marked his own card. Tragic. Could be no coming back from this.
