Re: Pre-season training - 2016
I had yesterday off work so went along for a look. Pretty disappointing for what was supposed to be a fan open session. It started early. I got there a bit before 2.30 and training was underway, it was finished by 3pm.
Training was 15 mins of players in two lines kicking to each other on their opposite foot from a standing start. Then 15 mins of marking practice on the tackle bag for one group, while the other did some tap work stoppage drills. A small group of younger players did some light tackling technique work.
Nothing really to report. Collins looks huge in person, easily as big as any of the mature players, and bigger than someone like Talia. If Z Cordy has put on weight I'm not sure you could measure it in grams. He's still one of the skinniest players on the list, only Brad Lynch and Bailey Williams would be skinnier. Bailey Dale is about the same size now. Tory Dickson stayed on the track after all the other players finished and was put through a brutal running session with Matt Inness. Not sure why it was just him but it was certainly punishing. Bonti and Kobe sat on the sidelines and didn't get involved.

Keep the crutches away from Tom Boyd please!
Is there an open training session this Tues 8th? I'll try and make it from Frankston.

Actually I should add there was one stand out in the marking drills, Easton Wood. Some of the players struggled to get a hand on the ball on many cases, Minson being a big offender, Stringer was pretty poor too. But Wood marked everything in sight. Looks a million dollars at the moment too. Campbell looked to be marking much better, could be over his shoulder problems hopefully.

Seeing the footage of Wood on the app' - the only thing I'm worried about with his footy is that he'll hurt himself!
His confidence would be sky high.

I reckon of all the 'project' players we've ever had a Wood is far and away the best.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Re: Pre-season training - 2016
My tip is Tory Dickson has an even bigger breakout season next year, with more midfield time.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Despite Will being out of favour, he played more games as 1st ruck than any other Bulldog.
