My dear old dad is in the same boat. I asked him if he wanted to borrow my copy for his next dialysis session and he said "no point, I haven't got a DVD player on that TV".

The newsagent around the corner has DVD players for fifteen bucks. Now that I think about it he has exactly the same TV as me and mine has a DVD built into it so he must have one on his telly too. Mine hasn't ever actually worked but that's a different story.

Definitely needs to be a digital version though, in this day and age. Costs nothing to reproduce and gives us much greater reach.
