What's the point of bringing this up now anyway - what's next, an article about how Bernie Quinlan, Barry Round and Gary Dempsey left?
Nah, it will be in Grand Final Week talking about how Melbourne smashed us last grand final proving our track record is poor. The article is just a short arm jab. I wonder whether the AFEL planted it or whether GWS planted it??? That's the only interesting thing (that we didn't already know).

Wasn't there talk that GWS was also interested in Wood?
If we signed Ward would the Giants moved on and signed Wood?
One could say this muck up let us keep Easton Wood.
More of an In Bruges guy?

Recall something like that now that you mention it. I know who I would rather.

Well, we did shock the country last night. So do you think the media might be able to stop bringing up contract talks from 5 or 6 years ago? I'm still really sh1tty about the timing of that article.
Great to see that the club channeled EJ last night and "stuck it right up 'em!"...
..... All of them!
Maybe now the media (which is a reflection of, and mouthpiece for, the greater football world) will lighten up on us.. Stop trying to belittle us, keep us in our place, put their foot on our head etc. I think we earned that last night.. and some!

Just listening to Walls on SEN. It was the week's break that cost West a Coast all their momentum.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

These so called experts don't look at the whole year, just a few recent matches. We have been super consistent in every game this year except the first Geelong match. I have no doubt if we had a full compliment of players we would have finished on top this year.

Maybe they aren't that great if they can't consistently perform and require 'momentum'

The week break helped us immensely. I doubt we have Libba and Macrae back without it.

Definitely.
Though, we'd have been a chance to finish top four with a bit of luck on the injury front, so having the week off prior to finals working in our favour was a welcome and overdue piece of luck.

Yeah spot on. With a healthy list all year I have no doubts we come top 4. Probably top 2

The week of was a godsend no doubt, but we've been due some sort of fortune .
I think we'd be a big show for top 2 without being banged up

Re: Bulldogs' $50,000 Ward mistake - Herald Sun
The week off only gives all teams a chance to get somewhere nearer to their best. It's not good luck as much as it allows all teams a chance to negate some of the bad luck.

I'm sure it's a distressing situation, but "crying all morning" might be a bit over the top in response to a plane cancellation.

Hopefully they made it to the game nonetheless.

It does look pretty annoying.
